Wow, thanks for sharing, my battery has been driving me nuts and I just found out that my phone qualifies for the replacement!

Did you guys get it replaced? Do they simply just replace the battery so you still have your same phone or do they give you a new iphone?

@bluestriped bee: My husband hasn't gone to get his replaced yet. I think he might try and get there this weekend now actually.

@bluestriped bee: From what I read I think they replaced the battery only?

@bluestriped bee: I am going on Friday, but it said battery replacement. It did say to make sure you phone is fully backed up.

@Smurfette: Yeah that's confusing... I get that it's good to back up just in case but they do make it sound like you're getting a new phone!

@Smurfette: Yeah, that's why I'm a bit confused on what will happen.

Mine is eligible! I just figured my battery sucked because my phone was almost 2yrs old.
Anyone know how long it takes them to replace the phone?

@bluestriped bee: I just got mine replaced tonight! Thanks again for the info. They just logged some information about my phone, took it in the back and replaced the battery. It took about 30 minutes. They'll warn you that they might not be able to remove the battery, and if that's the case, they'll give you a loaner phone and ship you a brand new one.
Same phone, just a new battery. They were able to replace mine without issue, so I'm all set!

@Smurfette: @snowjewelz: I think they want you to back it up in case they can't remove the battery, in which case you'd get a loaner phone, until they can ship you a new one.
@charmed: Took them about 30 minutes to replace the battery. The store was pretty busy; lots of replacements happening!

@Pepper: Cool, thanks for the insider info I wonder in what circumstances they can't remove a battery from a phone tho?!

@Pepper: I sort of wish that they can't get my battery out. I would love a new one. I want a white one!

@Smurfette: Me too lol. Besides the battery problem, I drop my phone so much over the last 2 years that it's kinda kooky.

@snowjewelz: Apparently there is a pull tab behind the battery, and if it snaps off, they won't do anything else to try and remove the battery because it could explode!
@Smurfette: I kind of wanted a new one too! But I'm also impatient and wouldn't want to wait until they ship me a new one, haha.

@Smurfette: unfortunately they are only permitted to give you the exact model of phone you already have color and gb
