We go to the playground after school from time to time and it's fun for the kids. I don't mind at all, except for one thing: the kids come to expect it, and beg for it every time! Same things goes for when we get a little ice cream on the walk home - they will start begging for ice cream every day.

How do you make it clear that certain things (playgrounds, ice cream, etc.) are a special treat and not something that can be begged for every day? I was thinking about scheduling them on specific days (Ice cream on Mondays, playgrounds on Fridays), but I'd love a more flexible solution if anyone has one!
