My Dd is 17 months and for the past week has been getting these odd blisters that come and go out of nowhere. The first time I noticed I thought she had burned herself on something and then later it was gone. She’s had them on her legs and once on her chest, totally random times. Pics below after a bath of each leg. Both gone a half hour later. Any ideas?

I agree, looks like hives. Has she been sick lately? My youngest gets them when he’s had a bad cold.

@KT326: nope, we’ve actually been healthy for awhile. How long do they last when your son gets them? I read as long as 6 weeks?

Hives! We’ve gotten them a few times- fabric softener, Huggies pull ups, Banana Boat sunscreen. Depending on how bad they are- we do liquid Benadryl and they go away.

That's how my son was with milk products. Hives instantly, gone within the hour. Probably just a contact allergy, definitely one of the easiest to diagnose!

My daughter woke up from nap s few days in a row with hives like this. We never figured out what caused it, but we are assuming something she touched outside.

@josina: mild hives, maybe a virus. Benadryl might help, call the dr if they don't go away soon. But not worrisome.

Fwiw my son only has gotten them with milder colds, and gets many more than that. But yeah they just look icky, nbd.

@codeitall: I just wish I could figure out what is causing/caused them.
@2littlepumpkins: Yeah, they don't seem to bother her at all, and look gross at first but always gone a half hour later.
@Mrs. Champagne: So odd! Hopefully they quit appearing soon for us.

Is there a toy or fabric that may be irritating her? That may be why it seems so random?

@jennlin821: The only thing I'm starting to think it could be is that I bought Tide with Oxiclean vs. regular Tide a week ago.
I don't think all her clothes would've been washed in it though since I was using up the regular Tide first, but its a possibility.
