This year, I'm hoping to make a butt-load of cookies to put in pretty wrapping and give to all my neighbors, coworkers, yoga teachers, and holiday party hosts.
Looking for a yummy, crowd-pleasing cookie recipe that's easy to make and will look festive when wrapped up with some nice ribbon.
Anyone have a good go-to?

Honestly, I just love a good chocolate chip cookie, and this recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction is my FAVORITE with a sprinkle of course salt on top. But she has variations using mint chips or cranberry/white chocolate chips if you want to do more festive holiday variations:

This is also the best peanut butter cookie I've ever had and it gets rave reviews every time I make them. I have also made them with mini chocolate chips in the dough to much success:

I've made saltine toffee bark in the past that was also a hit - I did mine in a chocolate/sea salt/almond variety but you can swap the nuts with peanuts, hazelnuts, pecans, or sprinkles. I've even done a matzo version for Jewish friends (just add a little more salt on top!)

All of these are neat and package up well. What I DON'T do are sugar cookies or messy cookies like pecan sandies or snickerdoodles or frosted sugar cookies.

I made these last year (minus the dipped in chocolate bit) they were quick and easy. Mix up the dough one day bake the next.

@YogiRunner: If you have a cookie press, spritz cookies couldn't be easier and look festive. I follow the Betty Crocker recipe from my mom's old school 1960s cookbook.

Holiday Treasure Cookies are my go-to for crowd-pleasing cookies.
HOLIDAY TREASURE COOKIES
Prep. 15' Bake 7-9 min.
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1t Baking Powder
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
(not evaporated)
1 1/3 cups coconut flakes
1 3/4 cups (10 oz.) mini kisses or semi-sweet chocolate baking pieces
1 cup holiday bits (I used M&Ms)
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together graham cracker crumbs, flour, and baking powder* in small bowl. Set aside.
2. Beat condensed milk and butter smooth; add reserved crumb mixture, mixing well. Stir in coconut flakes, mini kisses, and holiday bits. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 7 to 9 minutes until lightly browned. Cool 1 minute, remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.

another thing I will do with gingersnaps to be more festive is dip 1/2 in almond bark.

I'm making "Cowboy Cookies" for an upcoming cookie exchange with my mom's group. They are basically oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. You can find different recipes online - some call for coconut or nuts but I'm not doing either.
LO and I are also going to make classic cut-out sugar cookies.
