My husband wants to take his parents somewhere in August or his dad's 70th birthday. Although I think his parents would like something like a cruise to Alaska, I also want something that will be good for our kids, who will be newly 1 and 3 by August.

So we're leaning towards an AI on a beach somewhere nice. We just spent a week traveling with just our small family of 4 at a couple of beaches in the US, and I forgot how exhausting it is to just figure out food and naps, nevermind actually getting out to the beach and pool, when staying at a regular hotel and having to go outside the hotel for food. We also don't want to cook on vacation and don't want MIL trying to cook (she needs a vacation, too!), which is why we are leaning towards an All Inclusive.

Any recommendations? Oh yeah, and we have a moderate budget. Trying to keep it under 7k for the 4 adults, 2 kiddos.

Family friendly to me would be: additional kiddie pool or kiddie features at pool. Beachfront with preferably calmer ocean (not big waves). Variety of foods available at all times. Possibly a playground. In room babysitting available or extra charge or kids club...that kind of thing. A plus would be any kind of non-athletic/non-swimming tours available for the inlaws. Think cultural tour rather than something like Parasailing.

I've been trawling the internet, but I'm just getting lost with all the choices. I'm kind of eyeing Coconut Bay in St. Lucia because it looks good for kids. But I don't know where else to consider.
