Meatballs for sure! I saw a super cute idea on pinterest where you use a star shaped cookie cutter and use it on puff pastry and then you can skewer a meatball with a star, and it was so cute
I also came across these Korean Beef Bites that look GREAT: http://magnoliadays.com/2013/korean-beef-bites/
Bruschetta, if you can get ahold of good tomatoes. Just sounds good/fresh to me right now.
I made some stupid good brie bites a few weeks ago--phyllo cup pastry, premade in the frozen section, a dollop of strawberry jalapeno jam, and a cube of brie. BAked for 8 min.
we always have deviled eggs in DH's family!

@looch: I second the bacon wrapped dates - with a little goat cheese in the center - yum!
My family always does sausage balls with cheese and Bisquick. 3 cups Bisquick mixed with 1 lb shredded cheddar and 1 lb Jimmy Dean sausage. Roll into 1" balls and bake at 350 degF.

@mediagirl: I had these (without the pecans) at a bbq over the summer and they were amazing! I think they'd be great for a holiday app.

Also brazilian cheese breads are super easy to make and are a big crowd pleaser. Recipe says to use a mixer but we always mix by hand:
