My prediction is this will be a unanimous vote for double electric. Hands free!

Hand expression is awful! So tiring. Double electric all the way. Manual I can't relax enough to get a good pump because I'm too focused on doing the work. I would probably only use it if I am nursing and want to pump the other side (although I also just set up a single side electric for that- but to be quicker about clean up manual would work in this case only for me). Plus hands-free to be on my phone

Double electric while pumping at work. Manual if I'm at home and only pumping one side. It's more work, but more convenient and less cleanup than my electric pump.

Double electric forever! If you are in the US you should be able to get some kind of pump for free from your insurance. My friend just told me about a website called Edgepark that will see what is covered under your plan and then ship it to your house for free. Or you can call the insurance company and ask about your options and how to order.

Double electric for sure! I hated the manual pump.

I really liked the manual for actual pumping/production. I felt like I got a lot more suction. But of course the hands free double electric was the best for personal benefit (use phone, eat, etc).

I've never done anything but double electric... Time is money!! And since I mostly pump at work I usually need my hands to still do work on the computer to save time.

I've only ever used a manual and I love it (as much as one can love a pump of course!), but I'm a SAHM and only pump on the odd occasion to build up a small stash.
