We were just listening to the Rainbow Connection as a family, and Bee and I started talking about our favorite Muppet. I said Fozzie Bear and Gonzo. Bee agreed, but added Beaker to the list. I also liked the two old guys in the balcony.
Charlie and Olive said they don't know who the Muppets are! Oh my gosh, what kind of parents are we??

I don't know that we have a favorite Muppet but my kids do. DS loves Kermit and DD loves the saxophone playing one. We have the first 3 seasons on DVD and on Sunday nights skip story to watch an episode as a family. The kids love it and DH and I enjoy watching them again.

Horrible parents! 
I actually just discussed with my husband who our "spirit muppets" would be, as suggested by an old episode of NPR's Ask Me Another. I chose Fozzie Bear since my husband always tells me my jokes aren't funny (although that got a laugh from him, so now I'm confused).

@mrbee: My lemurs at the zoo were all named after Muppets, Statler and Waldorf were my favs (the balcony guys!)
