I am totally unfamiliar with FPIES diet...The teacher's helper for my dayghter's class is on FPIES diet while nursing her LO. We were going to bring each of DD's teachers a red white and blue cupcake from the awesome cupcake bakery, but I just found out yesterday about this teacher's strict diet.
Are there any fun treats or anything I can purchase to send her to school tomorrow? It didn't sound like she can eat literally ANYTHING fun. Any suggestions?

@PrincessBaby: Honestly, I would get her a non-food item if you really wanted to give her something. FPIES is SO unique to each specific child. There is really no telling what she can and can not have without having her telling you directly. She could be eating as few as 3 foods and could be completely vegan and trying to find a "safe" treat with them would be difficult. Her LO could also be sensitive to cooking methods etc.
Having been on two TEDs for FPIES kiddos with each TED being completely different as one could tolerate stuff the other couldn't, I would have appreciated someone taking the time to come up with something non-food related and really taking my restrictions into considerations. It was always so deflating for me personally when someone tried to understand and make something they thought worked when in reality it was far from it. I'm sure they had the best of intentions, but FPIES is so isolating as it is.

@anbanan15: Thank you for all of that info! I had no idea that it wasn't a set of hard and fast rules or that it's different from person to person. That sounds pretty crappy 
We ended up getting huge rw&b cupcakes for her main teacher and the other teacher's helper, and we got this teacher's helper a little bouquet of flowers:)
