DD2 will be less than 2 months at Christmas. Besides the fact that she doesn't actually know what's going on, we have a plethora of things from DD1 that's she'll use. BUT, I still want to get her a couple stocking stuffers and a gift from Santa as well as a gift from us especially since DD1 actually kinda gets the idea of Christmas this year. And our families probably want ideas too. SO, what the heck do you get a newborn? I'm trying to think of gifts that will be useful later in the year. No need for clothes, stuffed animals, etc. Help me remember what's coming so I can get something for her!

Pacifiers, teething toys, headbands? Maybe spoons or dishes? Babies first Christmas ornament?

An ornament is a good idea. Maybe something matching with your older DD, like big sister little sister t shirts?(I know you said no clothes...)

I got my son two small toys- one for his car seat and one was a play tray for his baby seat that he'd grow into eventually. I bought both about a week before he was born- he was 3 weeks old at Christmas!
My then 6 year old nephew did ask what Santa brought his cousin and I could have just made up a few more things but he caught me off-guard. My aunt told him that my son hadn't banked that much good behavior yet, he seemed to accept that.

We did a first Christmas ornament, an Oball, a Take Along Tunes, and then wrapped some necessities like diapers and a few new outfits to even the present score with her big sis. Maybe something personalized? We did the Robeez shoes with her initial on them since so much of her stuff is hand-me-down from her sister. They're 6-12 month size.

We're getting LO a foam mat, play yard, and non-breakable mirror. Basically things we'd like her to have anyway. Her Amazon wish list has clothes that are super cute but too impractical to justify spending the money on normally, and toys of the same sort. We don't have an older kid, but we have far more clothes than we need and plenty of toys for the next several months, so somewhat similar situation.

I'm getting some bows for her stocking. That's all we're getting this year since she's too young to understand it's Christmas and doesn't need anything.

T was 1 1/2 months at Easter and I put a wubba nub, a board book, and a stroller toy in her Easter basket.
Now that she's eating solids we never have enough bibs.
