Baby's first Christmas and he'll be around 2 months old. Did you give your LO Christmas presents, or do you plan to? The only thing I can think of is clothes, but he won't care, haha. Anything else?

Our son was 3.5 months last year, we don't own a jumperoo so that was his 1 present from us

Yes, we did! My son was about 2 weeks old, but I had gotten him a set of soft blocks and a plush ball.

M was only 2 weeks old - we had a stocking for her with a stuffed animal and a few other small things. Our family bought some clothes and toys

We got our 9 month old her convertible car seat, sippy cups and Mabel's labels for daycare in March. Lame, but seriously, she doesn't know and will only play with the paper anyway

Nope, he was 5 days old! Grandparents did though. Even this year at 1 he won't care - but we have got him some anyway.

We put a few things in her stocking since everyone else was getting stockings. Tiny books from the Target $ bin, hairbows, a rattle. LO was 2 months.

Our son was 3.5 months and we got him a bouncer plus toys and socks, etc for his stocking. This comes from the girl having stockings for unborn twins though lol.

We weren't going to do anything since he'll only be 6.5 months. But I scored a few toys from that Melissa and Doug amazon sale. I also got him a jacket, that I guess I'll wrap up for fun. It's all stuff I would have gotten anyway, and he obviously won't know or care. But last Christmas I was 3 months pregnant and sick as a dog, and all I could think about was Christmas morning with him this year.

She'll be 3 months but we got her a few things, especially since big sis will expect Santa to bring her baby sister presents. We got her a Sophie, a couple books, a stroller blanket, some headbands for her stocking and a toy. Probably way more than she really needs!

He was 6 weeks and we didn't get him anything. I actually didn't get his first christmas ornament until after christmas. Oops.
pomegranate / 3858 posts
Nope, she was 3 weeks old and we'd bought a lot of baby gear (obviously), so we didn't bother with much. I got her a stocking and a new dress and I think that was it!

My DD is 3 months and I bought her a special wooden mobile for her to "open" on Christmas day. Obviously she doesn't really care about presents this year, but I want to get her something anyway. I think she'll like the gift as she's just starting to grasp and loves things that make sounds.

DS was 5 weeks old and I think we got him one gift? Both our families got him a ton of stuff though.

I understand not getting actual presents for a newborn, but a Christmas ornament or something would be nice! Or a new outfit for pictures.

We had a 2 month old, we gave a "first Christmas" ornament, and some little things that we wanted to have anyways, nothing spectacular or grand.
pineapple / 12802 posts
Nope. Our parents bought enough gifts to fill a bus. We definitely didn't think it was necessary at 5 months.
This year we are though! He's a lot more interested!

We didn't. She got 1 small thing from inlaws and a couple of small gifts from my side of the family at their respective christmas get-togethers (not on Christmas morning).
I felt like that was plenty for someone who wouldn't remember any of it.

She'll be 5 months old and we did...mostly because her sibs will notice that she didn't get anything if we didn't...and they'd question why.

My daughter was 3 months old her first Christmas. We got her a couple board books and wrote "Merry First Christmas 2013" in them which is fun to see now a year later.
One that we got that felt like a good sentimental Christmas book (and it's only $7) is Wherever You Are: http://www.amazon.com/Wherever-You-Are-Love-Will/dp/1250017971

LO was 3 months old so we did We did things that she "needed" - Supplies for daycare, Diaper cream, Tools for feeding, a couple winter outfits, some cute toys for 6 month+ that ended up getting a lot of use. and I made her a growth chart for her room.

My daughter was three months old on her first christmas, and I can't recall getting her any gifts. Her grandparents did, as grandparents do. But my three month old didn't need anything besides diapers, boobs, and clothing, which she had plenty of.

My LO will be 3.5 months. We got him things we needed to get him anyway. Some toys he'll use in a couple months and an excersaucer thing.
His grandparents got him clothes.

We got her a jumperoo and a cabbage patch doll.
The cabbage patch never got opened so I am re wrapping it and giving it to her this Christmas again LOL

We got our 4 1/2 month old a book, fleece jammies in the next size up, and a teether. Unintentionally it kind of fits the whole "something you want, something you need, something to wear, something you read." We're also making ornaments with baby's hand print (but that's more for us/the family than for him).

D (my daughter) will be 6 weeks old at Christmas, she is getting a play gym from us and a couple Lamaze toys from Santa.

I don't really believe in gifts before kids are really aware of them... but PJs seem a fun little present to open up for them on Christmas day!
pomelo / 5720 posts
She's two months and we'll be giving her a mobile, pjs, and a first Christmas ornament.
grapefruit / 4213 posts
No, she was 2 months old and we thought it wasn't necessary to buy her gifts when she didn't even know what was going on lol

My son was only a few weeks old and right before he was born I had picked out a little monkey and a toy tray for his baby seat. My nephew who was 6 at the time was not impressed with Santa's first visit to his cousin.

Dd was 3 weeks old. We got her Take Along Tunes and an Oball. She had a stocking with two little headbands. DD2 wiki be 6 weeks this year. She's getting a play mat as her big Santa gift, mostly because I wasn't sure if DD1 would wonder why she didn't get anything otherwise. Her stocking will have a wubbanub and Ring O'links.

We are giving our two month old a few things I wanted to get anyway- a mirror for her room, some Christmas board books and a couple of dresses I bought on black Friday. Oh and two rattles- don't ask me how with all the toys we were given a rattle wasn't among them.
