My WHOLE life, my eyes have changed colours. I've commented on it several timess when people ask what colour they are, always saying I didn't know what colour they were.
It was only because of a random facebook post about eye colours that I learned that green eyes change colour, so I'm not weird afterall! Why didn't someone tell me this before? I"m 36, I wish I knew this years ago, lol.

I didnt! But explains why my mom insists that I have blue eyes, she must have seen them as more blue at some point!

Hmm I always thought hazel eyes looked blue, green, and brown depending on what you wear. I've been calling F's eyes hazel cause they are all 3 colors depending on the day

I didn't! My eyes are either blue or green. They bounce between the two. My mom swears that when they are blue, I'm in a good mood and when they are green, I'm in a bad mood.

I did not know that, but I'm another who never knows how to answer "what color are your eyes?" I think they're generally more greenish-grey, but then the other day someone said to me, "you have really blue eyes." Huh... haha.

Oh this is weird!
I have green eyes. But I've had some people tell me they look blue if I'm wearing blue. And when I wear green, they look a lot greener.

I doubt the 2% thing is true, but I think we perceive green eyes differently based on what's around them, and they can shift to appear more gray, green, or blue. Mine are green and they do the same, and LO's are gray/blue and shifting to (I believe) become green like mine.

I've heard the 2% statistic often, and while it may not be exactly accurate (bc pinning down eye color is inexact) it is definitely a rare eye color because huge segments of the world'/s population don't have the genes for it in their ethnic pool.
Eyes can't actually change color. There is no true change in the pigmentation of our irises. Like a pp said, it's simply different emotions or surroundings that "bring out" different shades.

Mine are a sort of grey blue that lean toward green some days. When I was little I had CRAZY blue eyes, but it seems like they've faded a lot over the years.. They definitely aren't as bright blue as they were when I was a toddler/young child.

Mine are green but have a dark gray ring around them. They often look more blue if I'm wearing gray or blue, because you notice that ring more. LOs are the same.

Mine change too. Sometimes green, sometimes bkue, sometimes they're kind of yellow...my best friends mom's eyes turn yellow sometimes too.

Mine are gray blue, SOs are green/blue.
I thought lo1 would be blue but when he turned two they started changing between green and blue.
So far lo2s are staying blue.

Yes! People always tell me my eyes are blue. No, they are green but sometimes get a blue ring. Both my husband and I have green eyes.

Oh.wow, I'm not alone! My eyes are a grayish, blueish, greenish color, now I can say green when someone asks. They definitely appear different colors depending on my clothes and eye makeup!

Mine are hazel (green/brown/gold) and DH's are blue/grey/green. So far both the kids look like they have mine.
