We used the Summer Infant SwaddleMe for DD and we liked it because it was so easy to use and it stayed on. We will be reusing it for baby 2 but I want to order an extra swaddle and heard good things about the Halo. Have you used both? Do you recommend one over the other?

On the other side of this. We used the halo and liked it but it had to be on very very tight, tighter than it's supposed to go. They were so easy though. Thinking about getting the other one for lo2.

@dolphin: We were using swaddle me until someone gave us a halo. The halo is so much easier. We love it so much we went out and bought more halos and abandoned the swaddle me.
The halo is just a sack that zips up and has an removable swaddle part fot the arms. I feel like my baby ismore secure and comfortable in the halo. And if I want to stop swaddling, I can remove that part and just use it as a sleep sack.
I didnt like the bottom part of the swaddle me that velcro shut. I felt like no matter how careful I was with the velcro my baby was always somehow able to rub her arms on the rough part of the velcro.

We preferred the Halo with DD1 and bought more when DD2 came along.

I had both and would recommend a halo just because it "lasts" longer - beyond the swaddle.

our Halo! It's the only one lo will sleep in. I love the two in one, that allow us to swaddle her body, but leave her arms out, since she likes to sleep with her arms up over her head in the touchdown/goal post position!

Halo! I didn't get along with the SwaddleMe ones and DD was too friggen tall to really fit well in them anyway.

Halo! The swaddleme's weren't break-out resistant enough for my guy.

Another vote for halo. One big perk is the zipper part zips from the bottom so you can unzip it without undoing the Velcro and letting their arms out if you need to do a diaper change in the MOTN

I used Summer brand of Swadle me with my daughter then just plain Halo sleep sack. she hated the Halo but it also didn't have the Swadle feature to it. Had to Swadle her every night. My son had a Halo sleep sack with the Swadle and a plain Swadle. He and I bot referred the Halo. I prolly would have liked it with my daughter too had they been out.

I used the A&A brand of swaddlers in the early weeks and really loved them. I liked how tight they could get.

We reach for the Summer Infant Swaddle Me swaddles a lot more often than we reach for the Halo, honestly. But she is close to outgrowing the Swaddle Me in length (she's 80th percentile for length) and I expect we'll transition to the Halo at that point, also once we want her arms free we'll use the Halo more. For now we want to keep her arms snug. She is 9 weeks. Oh we also have two Miracle Blankets, those are also going to remain useful once she's too long for the Swaddle Me ones.

@LaughLines: I've been undoing the whole thing for diaper changes. Now that you mention it, the zipper is on the bottom so you really don't have to undo the whole thing! Another bonus point for Halo lol!

I am obsessed with the zip up peanut style swaddles. They are awesome
