I did! I was a public health professional when I decided at age 28 to go back to school and become a doctor. Because of my age, they called me a "non-traditional" student. I always hated that!

I haven't (yet), but I've always kind of dreamed about being a teacher one day. I'm currently an Audit Manager.

I haven't, but I plan to after LOs are a little older. I'm feeling kind of over my current job/career, and will be a SAHM for a few years, so I plan to really use that time to think about what I want to do next. I think I will eventually go back to school to become a teacher, which would work out well with our own kids being in school.

I'm planning on it. Currently I'm a RN but I want to go to nail artist school!

i haven't, but DH is going from personal training to special education, he'd love to work with the special Olympics though! my dad went back to school at 50+ to get a degree and teach history after being in retail training and management for a looong time. i think it's great when people do something new that they are passionate about! good luck!

yep! totally changed careers when i was 29. i was in finance since graduating college, and decided i couldn't see myself doing that for the rest of my life. i now run my own online shop.

the main thing that made me comfortable with the switch was knowing that i saved enough to cover me financially for the next few years of transition. plus, it helped that my family was encouraging of the switch.

I haven't done it but I'm considering a career change to become a teacher. I would be a SAHM while I go back to school and sub for extra money.

@Pepper: I have been trying for several years to change careers and so far have only been successful in transitioning to the lowest levels and cannot work my way up. It is very frustrating.

Career changes are usually pretty difficult and you have to put a whole lot of energy into the switch.

@grizz: I'm also a social worker and really contemplating a career change.
I just don't have the guts, money, or time to go back to school!

my friend is a nurse (RN) and also does hair/makeup (state/board certified for both)

I went from being an engineer to being an attorney. I don't think your crazy at all.
