Tough situation. Sometimes schedules just don’t work out. Bummers!

I have not offered to help in something that I couldn’t attend but you sound like a great friend for offering!

I have been unable to go to big events of good friends because of conflicts and it sucks because I’m a quality time person and so it really hurts when I think I missed big events but in the end it really wasn’t that big of deal even though I really wanted being there for them.

Sure, I would! If we're close I'd feel so sad/bad that I can't be there so I'd def offer to help.

I wasn't sure if I would be able to attend my sister in law's shower because I was due 2 weeks prior. I planned it in spite of that...but I did end up being able to attend after all.
