Bee and I work together... plus I've worked with my family too. There are always potential problems, but I think most of them have been manageable so far.
Have you ever worked with family?

I worked for my dads company for almost ten years. I started PT when my aunt was sick with cancer, and went on FT after she passed.
I was treated as an employee so I/we never had issues.
DH helps me with my business and we butt heads a lot

Yes and bunch of times. It's good for short periods but I don't think I could do it long term.
As for a husband and wife business, it might work. At least that's what I hope to do if DH starts his own business.

DH and I are about to start working together. Before that I've never worked with family.

Yup. I worked with my husband at his business for years. Pretty much as soon as we got serious when we were dating, I quit my job and started working for him. It's definitely not for everyone, but we've always loved working together. Now that I'm home with LO he works from home more so we can still be together. I think he appreciates that I will be 100 percent honest with him when people who work for him might not in some situations.

haha yes! I was my older sister's boss at one point! It was only for a few months though because I hated that job, and she was pregnant so she left once she had her son. It was fine though.
And now my nanny is my little brother. It's... interesting.

My husband and I work together, and both of us for his father. My BIL also works there, and my sister is temporarily working there, as well. My son goes to work with me, too. So basically, I'm never not around family. It's an interesting dynamic.

FIL had his own business for about 15 years and recently closed it. He & MIL worked together and DH even worked with them for a year after college. I haven't ever worked with family.

Yep! I used up nanny for my brother and sister in law for about 2 years until I got pregnant and stopped to be a sahm. They live too far away for it to make sense for me to drive with a baby. It was great though. The only complaint was they kind of considered me "on call" and I didn't have predictable hours so it was different all the time and hard to plan time for myself.

Yep three, the first time didn't go too well I quit after 6 weeks because my cousin thought he was my boss because I was younger (16) and he was older even though we were in the same position and the second time with another cousin was fun we worked together for 2 1/2 years with no problems and the third time was with my little cousin but different departments it was fun taking breaks together everyday bug she didn't work there long

Nope, but DH works for his family business with his grandpa and dad. It definitely has it's unique parts (sometimes standard job advice to an issue doesn't apply), but overall it works out really well!

I met my husband at work and we love it. We don't really see each other when we are working, but we love being able to drive to and from together. I also love that when I come home and vent about coworkers, he knows exactly who and what I'm talking about. He also understands the struggles and stress of our job.

Yes, and it was my parent's restaurant. There was an expectation to always be available to help at any hour. We lived upstairs, and there was no separation of home and work. I am still a little bitter about it to this day because it affected our family relationship. The business was much more important.

My sister is my nanny. Does that count? There haven't been any real problems yet. She adores DD and is always eager to do what we ask. She has been a real blessing. I also think it has improved our relationship. Not that it was bad to begin with but we are definitely closer now. Sure we get on each others nerves every now and then but I think that is just the nature of the relationship.

I was a receptionist for my Aunt and Uncle's company, twice. It was fine each time. I was still in high school though, so I wasn't old enough to have any issues with anything - just happy to have a job!
In college I worked with my mom, she was even my boss for a while. That also went fine, I actually loved working with her!
