I watched the documentary a few months ago, and thought it was so cute, and really interesting to see how differently all the babies lived. It really makes you think about all the toys and stuff we seem to think babies need in North america.

I still put it on occasionally when I want something that's "feel good" and "joyous"

I saw it 3 times. Once, the week I found I was pregnant, just before giving birth and this past weekend, 9 months post!! It was so different each time I watched it! I appreciate it so much more. 5 stars. Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. :~D

I was so excited about this movie when it first came out... and was completely disappointed. Perhaps I just watched it to late, but it really was just not gripping. The African was the only one I found interesting, so I guess you could say I enjoyed 1/4 of the movie.

@Mrs. Marbles: I never heard the term helicopter parent before. I'm afraid we have tendencies! The funniest scenes and eyeopening were when things would 'go wrong' in the American parenting though they were the most protective. I thought it was interesting that the link provided said that the African mom thought the Mongolian baby was the happiest one.

I have not seen this but soooo want to now! Yay Netflix. Thanks for the link and the tip on Netflix ladies!!!!

I really enjoyed it, but it was not my husband's cup of tea at all.

I tried watching it, but couldn't get into it after 30 minutes. Maybe I should give it a second chance.

I loved it! The African baby and Mongolian baby were my faves.

I saw it, so CUTE! The American couple made me roll my eyes. The Japanese baby was adorable and as a former teacher in Japan it made me wonder what other people thought about that part of the story? The Mongolian baby and the African baby were by far the most interesting. I wish they'd make Babies Part II!

When I saw the Japanese baby so frustrated to tears because she couldn't solve her little toy stacker problem, I was like whaaaat?? No way!! Now that I have a baby, I watch that scene and I think....oh yah, that's totally my daughter. She got so irked trying to learn how to suck her thumb, among other things!
