Our 15 month old can be outside for 5 minutes and she becomes bright red and very warm. WE dress her in cotton, lots of water, ect. I even bought one of those spray fans that mists her face. We have a big 4th weekend planned that involved lots of outdoor picnics, how do you keep your warm blooded baby cool?

Does she sweat? All babies don't sweat as well as adults, but if she doesn't sweat at all, I'd bring it up with a pediatrician.
If she does sweat and still gets hot quickly, I will often wet down my son's hat, which really helps keep him cool. And shade is key. We often keep an umbrella around to provide shade if we're walking around/can't find shade. I don't have them, but I've also heard great things bout frog togs.

What about one of those gel things that you soak in cold water and put on the back of your neck?

My 3 year old is like this too. Always has been. His music teacher jokes that he's the first kid she's ever seen break a sweat in music class. I just try to make sure we always have water for him.

This has been me my whole life. A cold, wet, bandana/kerchief over my head, wet sweatbands on my wrists, and access to iced drinks makes me slightly less miserable in the heat. But, only slightly.

Have you tried using a cooling towel, like Frogg Toggs?
She sounds like my husband. Summers are miserable for him, and I always have to plan stuff with him in mind. The cooling towel seems to help him if it's not too humid out. If the humidity level is at "Oppressive" (like today), there's not much that helps other than light breathable clothing and lots of cold water.

This is totally my son! But he seems happy so I try not to worry too much. I keep ice water for him and try to dress him as lightly as possible. I always try to find shade!
I got a fan for his stroller and I have Evian misters in his diaper bag and our beach bag.He gets so red so quickly, people tell me "your son is getting a sunburn" and I have to explain that he's fine, he just gets hot and red easily.

@LuLu Mom: Same with us! Commenting to follow. Five minutes in the shade even = red cheeks and a sweaty head. This kid sleeps in only a diaper and is still all wet and sweaty when he wakes up every time!
