Per this Mayo Clinic article there are two ways to predict your child's full grown adult height.
Formula 1: doubling their height at 24m for boys and 18m for girls.
Formula 2: add the mother's and father's height in inches. Add 5" for boys or subtract 5" for girls. Divide by 2.
Based on these two formulas, what will your LO's full grown adult height be?
DD1: formula 1 - 5'6" Formula 2 - 5'-7 1/2"
DD2: can't do formula 1 since she's only 15m.

Interesting! I've heard of the double their height at age 2 formula before but not the parents height one. LO is only 15 months too but he should be 6'0" according to the other one.

cant do 1 because I cant remember their heights but with the 2nd
DD - will be 2 in taller than me
DS - same height as DH

He isn't two yet but the formula using my height and DHs he will be 6'2. Same as DH.

He isn't two yet, so with formula 2, he'll be 5'9". Taller than both of us!

I only ever heard of doubling their height at 2 for both males and females
Formula 1: At 18m she was 31" 5'2" - Seems short to me... At 24m she was 33" - 5'6"
Formula 2: I'm 5'5" and hubs is 6' - 5'6"

Formula 1 has DS at 6 ft tall, and DD at 5 ft 2.
Formula 2 has DS at 5 ft. 11 1/2. DS is too young to test #1.
By formula 2, I'd only be predicted to be 5 ft 2. I'm 5'6". And I have one brother who's 5'2" and my other brother is 6 ft tall - so we blow this formula out of the water!

Using both formulas I get the same result - 6'0" tall. What is funny is that DH's dad is 6'4", DH is 6'2". It looks like each generation is shrinking!

Formula 1 - 5'8", Formula 2 - 5'7", according to the ped's growth chart 5'9" to 5'10". ( I'm 5'11" and DH is 5'8)

5'10" for both girls according to both formulas. DD2 is the exact same height her big sis was at her age, 21 months, so they'll likely be close.
The second formula would have predicted my sister and me at 5'7.5", yet we are 6' and 5'10" respectively (mom is 5'5", dad is 6'5"). I was the same height at age 2 that DD1 was, and my pediatrician predicted I would be 6', so he was 2" off. I have no doubt my girls will probably be as tall or taller than I am, likely not taller than their dad as it is highly unusual for girls to be taller than their fathers, and for them to be 6'3"

LO is too young for the first, and I don't think the second would be accurate. She's looking like she'll be taller than us. We have some tall family members, so it makes sense.

DD- formula 1 puts her at 66.5 inches, formula 2 at 65.5.
DS- formula 2 puts him at 74 inches, formula 2 at 70.
I'm surprised that it's so close with DD and not with DS.

I think both said 5'11" for DS. But they also say that it can be up 4 inches either way. LOL. My DH is 6' but everyone in his family is taller. His dad is 6'2" and both grandfathers were 6'5". MIL is 6' as well. My side of the family is short. I am 5'4" and my parents are little. So it's kind of a roll of the dice.
ETA: According to method 2, I was only supposed to be 5'1 and I am 5'4"

5'5-5'7" based on formula 2 for DD. taer than me! However she has one grandma who is 4'11 and one is about 5'10 so who knows!

I can't remember her height at 24 m, but based on her parents heights she would be 5'6", which seems realistic. I'm 5'7" but dh's family is a little shorter than mine.
Just did it for my parents heights and my siblings and its within half an inch correct for my sisters, brother, and me (but my sisters and I are all within half an inch of each other).

Formula 2 is saying 6'1" for DS...in between me & DH who is 6'4"! Crazy thought!

Formula 1 = 5'11"?!! Somehow I doubt this... she's a girl and 3/4 Asian. I don't think she will be the same height as her dad, but would love for her to be taller than me, 5'5".

I don't know how tall DS is right now so can't do Formula 1, but with Formula 2, he'll be 5'8". Pretty short, and about what the pedi predicted using the growth chart also. I'm hoping he'll hit a growth spurt and be more like his dad!
