When DD was about that age she went through a phase that was just like that. We called it the "post nap grumpies", haha. It took her about an hour to truly wake up and shake it off, it drove me crazy but nothing I did helped it. Lasted a few months, if I remember correctly (she's now 4).

@nana87 No fun at all! But honestly, I'm not sure how long it lasted, but it did end eventually. It's one of those phases that's barely a memory now... I had actually forgotten about it until I read your post.

My DD does this occasionally... I used to try desperately to get her to come out and have her snack but now I'm just like "whatever" and I go read or clean or something until she calms down and wants to come out. Our apartment is one level so I can hear her from anywhere.

My LO did that for like 3 or 4 days in a row like a year ago. She was exhausted, would fall asleep during lunch and would wake up screaming. I would go in because I thought something was wrong and she would want me but also fight violently against me. It was weird but eventually stopped.

DD does this sometimes. I leave the light on and the door open and leave her in her crib for a while. She usually lets me know within a few minutes that she's ready to get up. I also offer some diluted juice at such times. If I can get her blood sugar up she usually gets over the bad mood more quickly.
