I'm ok with identifying our city but not our names and faces. I would love to share my LO's cute mug but I post some pretty private stuff or embarrassing questions on here and I prefer that people I know in real life not know that stuff about me.

@JerricaBenton: I can't even stress to you how obsessed w/Jem I was as a kid. And I'm from Texas so I pronounced it like "Jayum"...there are home videos for proof.

@tororojo: That was a really good description of my 'life story!' Hahaha Jayum! I love it!

I am pretty open. As a rule I wouldn't put it in writing if I wouldn't say it in person. I think even if I didn't put pictures and names my story is unique enough that if people read about it and knew me in person they might be able to figure it out anyways. I met a woman at my mothers meeting and she asked about how many kids I had. When I told her she asked if I went to a certain OB/GYN. It was my doctor and she told me when she found out she was pregnant with her second (very close to her first) they told her about me and that I was doing fine with my three boys so she would be fine too. That wasn't even a blogging thing. That just came from my doctor, apparently I am famous in that office!

Plus I couldn't come up with four cute little train names for my four little kids, and even if I did come up with them I would never be able to remember which kid was which name.

I won't put my last name online. Pretty careful about my first name too, since it is a common name, but not a common spelling. I don't mind saying the city where I live, but not the area. Also anything I vent about on HB, I would say to someone's face. I am also careful about telling people what baby/mom site I am on cause I don't want people to go and look for me. I like it being private.

I share general things. I agree with the commenter above about sharing enough to keep it fun and connect with people, but never my address (or even city - it's small!), my last name, or other more obvious things like cc or ss numbers! I haven't shared my pic on HB yet, but I'm not against it in the future.

Somemes I'm paranoid that someone I know IRL will figure out who I am via HB and know personal things about our TTC journey. For some reason I'm ok sharing it with this community, but not people I see often, lol!

@tororojo: Ha! That Jem/Jerrica comment was hysterical.

@Mrs. Blue: I've never met anyone with my name either. The closest I've come is watching the news and seeing a reporter with the same name. She pronounced it differently though.

I've told my city and province - but that took a while. I won't share any real names and definitely not pictures. I'm not on Facebook for that reason. I don't see the internet as a trustful place, and because Hellobee is on the internet, I won't put that info up. If I were to meet any of you in real life, I would have no problem sharing, but the internet creeps me out.

On another site, I used to overshare. With pics. Nothing more than pics and posting on threads like this. If you had time, you probably could piece together my first and last name.

Here on HB, I have been a little more anonymous. I've learned from my previous forum experience. I don't want to be found out. Not at this point. Maybe when I get pregnant I will share baby pics. I do understand, that since I'm rather active on online forums that I may be linked between sites by the pictures I post. But at that point, it would be stalking.
