I realize this might be a stupid question and the answer might be "um, they just stay awake longer dummy!" But we stick rigidly to the nap schedule around here and I'm freaked out about messing with things unnecessarily!

All morning and early afternoon, my 4 month old twins usually go about 1 hr 15 min before they start to get a little cranky. We start nap routine then and they're usually (both!) out at the 1 hr 30 min mark. Sometimes the baby who is doing drowsy but awake takes a bit longer but not much.

However, yesterday Blake resisted going down for his naps, only napped for 30 minutes for his two morning naps, then skipped his afternoon nap entirely. He finally passed out on grandma's shoulder around 3:30. I'm wondering if he is resisting naps because he could use a longer awake time and I'm trying to still make 1.5 hrs a thing. He is still getting cranky and yawning at the 1 hr 15 min mark. Should we just push through and see if he can stay awake a little longer and hope he'll go down easily like he used to? Or will that be a disaster? Someone help me - I'm scared to mess up our great nap schedule!
