We met in HS and have been together like 12 years. Been married 7 of those years, expecting our first in September. We waited a while, but we got married young so were in no rush.

started dating in 2001 (we were babies), married 2012, baby came 2013.
Sooooo 12 years no baby. Almost two with baby

9 years together in July, LO will be 1 in August so almost 8 child free years (almost 3 years married w/o LO).

11.5 years child free, 3 months with a child.

We're at exactly half if I count from when we began dating, 4 years each.

4.5 years together, the last 1.5 with our LO.

We met in 1998, but didn't date until 2010. Had DS in 2013.

We've been together a little over 5 years and LO is 18 months.

9 years together before kids, we were ready sooner, but things took longer than we had originally planned. In hindsight, the timing was perfect for our careers, so I can't complain.

We have had 4.5 years child free and 1.5 years with a kid.

Although, none of it really counts because of step kids, so technically we have had kids our entire 6 years.

When the babies come, we will have had almost 14 years child-free. We started dating in 2001.

11.5 years before kids. I'm glad we had that time!

DH and I have never been child free. I had D (he was 3) when we met. All 5 years of our relationship has at least one kid.

We started dating in 2004, got married in 2007 and had DS in 2012! So 8 years from when we started dating until we had DS.

We've been together 8.5 years including dating and marriage.

Great thread. We were together for 8 years before our baby was born. We've been parents for a year.

A lot less child-free years than we planned! 3 1/2 years together child-free, 10 months of that married. 14 months with a kiddo. So we've been married with a kid longer than we were married without a kid already. But it's had unforseen benefits: most of our marriage was spent with us married or with a kid so this has just become our normal. We didn't get settled into a nice married routine that got disrupted with a kid; kid craziness became our routine, and I actually think that's been a good thing for our marriage (even though I was never planning on it and always thought I, like my parents, would be married for 5 years before kids).
