Hi moms/moms-to-bee!!
I'm having my baby shower at 34 weeks pregnant. The whole month of July (weekends did not work out). So we are doing it August 6th (Due September 15). Now I'm a little worried that I'm doing it late in the game. When did you have your shower and how did that work out for you?

My shower was a month before my due date. I will be honest by then I was starting to get a little anxious about getting everything ready for baby, what additional shopping we would need to do, etc but it all worked out.

With DD like 36 weeks

I think I was 33 weeks.

I think I was around 32-33 weeks. It felt perfect.

first: 28 and 32 weeks. second (small get together): 34 weeks

I had two showers; one was 30w the other was 32w. I wish they both were sooner. I ended up being induced 2 weeks early and it felt like I was running around a lot towards the end. I really wanted just to relax the last few weeks, but did not get the chance to do it.

I was 35 weeks at my shower for my first - I was anxious about timing but it was ok, she didn't arrive until 40 weeks. This time we're having a small lunch at 33 weeks.

32 weeks I think. Lo1 was born at 37 so it wasn't long after!

With DD1, we had both of our showers between 30-32 weeks.
With DD2 (currently pregnant), work threw me a sprinkle at 26 weeks due to scheduling availability but I felt kind of silly since I was barely showing at that point. It was nice to knock everything off our list early though!

I had 2, at 34 and 37 weeks. I was definitely nervous at the second one, especially because it was 2 hours away from my home (in-laws). I think the best time to have one would be around 28-33.

I think it was 32 weeks. You should be fine at 34 weeks!

I was 34 weeks. It worked out great - I still had plenty of time to buy everything else I needed after the shower.

I think 31-32 weeks. You will be fine. Most newborns sleep a lot so whatever you don't get done can be taken care of later. But honestly all the preparing in the world and putting things away does not make you more ready. Babies need very little- food, a place to sleep, diapers, a few sleepers, and lots of love. In the meantime I highly recommend the documentary Babies.

34 weeks. I am glad it wasn't any later, but only because I had to travel 2.5 hours to get to it and I was exhausted by the end of the weekend because of that.

DD1 - Had her early Dec, had shower mid Oct
DD2 - Had her just before Christmas; had shower Thanksgiving weekend
With DD1 I wanted an early shower so I could get all the stuff ready slowly. I def could have had it later; but I wanted more time. With DD2, that was the only time my sister could throw it. I wasn't expecting DD2 till Jan so I thought it was plenty of time! But still, 2nd child it was less preparations so it was fine!

Mine was 29/30 weeks. But it was out of state (my hometown) and I just didn't want to travel beyond 30 weeks.

34w with my first and 36w for my second! I felt like it was close but then I went to 40w with both of them!

Most all of them with both kids were between 32 and 36 weeks. I actually had DD early the night of one of my showers!

Mine was at 34 weeks too! It worked out just fine, even with DS being born 2.5 weeks early!
