Related to the discussion of inviting LO's whole class to a birthday party - How far in advance do people usually send birthday invitations? I'm anxious to get them out so that people don't make plans, but I also don't want to send them too early. Help!

6 weeks is pretty standard. 4 is fine. I've got evite invites in as little as a week out.

4-6 weeks if you're hoping for maximum attendance.
3 weeks is plenty if you :::ahem::: don't mind if some of the kids already have other plans (i.e., you have to invite the whole class but kind of hope for a smaller crowd)

I did 6 weeks for my son's party, but we had his party mid-December during prime holiday festivity season. I think 3-4 weeks is probably fine for the non-holiday season.

I did about 3 weeks for my sons party in March. We just received one about 3 weeks in advance. Personally I think that is plenty of time.
