So DD2 started daycare for a month now, and we knew that the next few years when we have two in daycare would be the toughest. We have a healthy amount of emergency fund; healthy amount of savings/investments; my job is stable and I'm the breadwinner. All advice I got is don't slack off with my retirement contributions esp since I have employer's match, so I'm not really scaling down.

Obviously, we're going to tighten our belts some more so in a good month I am sure we can save more, but worst case we might not save anything some months.

There is no free pre-k so I will have 2 in daycare for 2 more years.
