Our baby is due in early June, but the date I keep telling myself in my head is a week later so I won't get too disappointed as a FTM if I go to 41+ weeks. I've heard its really common to go overdue.
When did you go into labor with your first baby?

I went into labor at 39w4d and had him the next day.

I went into labor at 39 W 5D and had him the day before he was due!

My water broke at 37w4d and he was born the following morning. I was completely caught off guard since everything I had heard made it seem as though firsts typically come after your due date!

Labor started 40w 2 d, had DS the following day at 40w3d!

39 weeks 2 days

Induced at 40 weeks 4 days, gave birth at 40 weeks 5 days. Was already dilating and effacing...so I expect I would have gone into labor naturally soon thereafter, but I had high blood pressure so we had to evict baby immediately.

No labor, I was induced at almost 39 weeks, although it still took me 27 hours (of labor) to have LO.

I went into labor at 40 weeks, 4 days and gave birth the same day.

I was induced, 0% effaced and 0 cm dilated, at 41w1d and DS was born 41w2d (9 days late).

I went into labor at 39w3d. He arrived two days before my due date despite my dad's prediction that he would be a week late.

39w5d... had him on his due date =)

37w5d. He surprised us by coming on his own. My Dr wasn't going to let me go past 39 weeks because I had been having some issues with my blood pressure.

Today is 39w4d and there are no impending signs of a baby... -crying- I wish I had told people my due date was later, because I am sooooo tired of people texting/facebooking/calling to ask if I'm in labor yet!

40 weeks on the dot, she was born a few hours later

@tororojo: I put up a facebook status that read, "yes, I am huge and tired. no, baby is not here yet. you will ALL know when she is!" and no one really bugged me after that except well meaning family that I didn't mind (parents, grandmother and aunt). I felt the same way as you the day I gave birth! my OB was like, we'll schedule an induction for Tuesday (it was Thurs) and I went home and my water broke, boom, baby. It's so hard those last few days but I promise it'll be over SO soon!

41w1d. I took 2 days to get to active labour it once that was done, easy peasy squeezy.

@sorrycharlie: Haha, I thought about putting up a really passive aggressive f-book status, but I disabled new posts on my wall instead. Then I posted a non-baby-related status and all the comments on it are about me going into labor. RAWR! Hopefully I'll be like you--due date is Thurs and they'll induce next Tues if she hasn't arrived!

@tororojo: yay maybe!! I remember posting on the postathon reminder thread, "hope I'm in labor instead, no offense guys!" and sure enough, she was born at 9:27p! lol. I'll cross my fingers for you!!

Exactly 40 weeks! Took my 40 week pic and water broke a couple hours later!

most FTMs I know went a little early!

@tororojo: I fudge my due date a lot with people who I know will be annoying about it. I always say "Oh, not sure. First or 2nd week in June. My OB couldn't be clear on a certain date." when I know damn well she's said June 1 this entire time

I was convinced I would be overdue! I ended up going into labour 37w+5d, gave birth at 38w.

I went into labour the morning of my due date and DD was born later that evening! I was expecting to go late as well, being a FTM and also knowing that I was 13 days overdue, but fortunately, my LO is a punctual little thing!

Went into labor at 6pm at 40w4d, and had her at 40w5d at 8:38am

39w3d and had her the same day. Was definitely expecting to go late and told everyone mid January so I wouldn't have questions!
