For me, I lost my mucous plus on a Thursday morning, and by Thursday evening I was in early labor. (In the meantime, I had tons of Braxton-Hicks that were sometimes spaced at regular intervals.) DD didn't arrive until Sunday though...

With my first baby, my water broke and then about 2 hours later I was in active labour.
With my second baby, I woke up thinking that I had brutal gas (!!!), and after about 30 minutes, I realized it was mild contractions. 2.5 hours later, baby was in our arms!

My contractions started almost immediately after my mucus plug fell out. I gave birth 13 hours later!

I started to lose some of my mucus plug in the morning, and it was quickly followed by mild contractions. The contractions lasted all day, and I went to the hospital at midnight.

I lost my mucus plug Sunday night, woke up with fairly regular but not close together contractions on Tuesday morning (15-20 minutes apart), which slowly intensified and got closer together into late Tuesday evening/early Wednesday morning when I went into active labor. I delivered Wednesday afternoon.

I lost my mucus plug over a week before labor!

My first sign of labor was that I took a big poop. Once I went contractions started almost immediately. The first two were four minutes apart and they never slowed down... Baby was out 12 hours later.
