my phone backs up to my computer whenever it's connected wirelessly, so that's often. then photos are also backed up to icloud and dropbox... and probably google too. i also have my full set of client and personal photos on an external hard drive and backed up another cloud server constantly. after a loss of about 6 months of photos in college, as soon as i get a device, i make sure it's backing up!

It automatically backs up every time I upload my photos into dropbox. I tried google drive for photos but transferred them all back to dropbox because I love it so much!

We have a family Gmail address, back up photos and videos from both of our phones on there through the app. I use Dropbox and Shutterfly apps as well, but for specific purposes. Shutterfly, I back up the pics, put them into an album, then use them for our yearly calendar. I've had Dropbox since I started using an iPhone. It's how when I lost my phone was able to save all of my pics. I just maxed my phone's pic capacity today, so it's time for a clearing again. I do it about once every 3 months or so.

Right now I back up once a week to Google Drive, Amazon Prime & Drop Box (excessive? haha). I also print a Chatbook every month.

@snowjewelz: Doesn't sound excessive to me. I back up to three locations. I like the Google + app and family email address for having all of our pics in one place. We're talking about adding my DH's YouTube to it as well for more one location of all videos, DSLR, etc. He set up the YouTube and sends private links to his parents. I prefer to have some knowledge of what he's sending them, so we may switch the YouTube to the family account.

@cascademom: Oh good thinking about YouTube! That way I can free up more space on Dropbox for pictures!

Our phones automatically save to Dropbox, and then I back those up into Smugmug about twice a year.

For our DSLR, we upload into Smugmug about once a month.
