DH takes them every week for story time. I take them 1-2 a month to check out books.

I just went took LO to the library for the first time yesterday! He's only 5.5 months, so he doesn't know any better, but hopefully we'll go more often as he gets older. It's only a block away, but it's a tiny library.

We just went for the first time last week. They weren't very interested in the books, but they loved being somewhere new that they could roam a little. Plus they have blocks, puzzles, and big windows in the kids area. They loved that! Our story time is for kids 12 months+ so in May I'm going to try that. It's hard to tell how that will go because they like to wander instead of sit still and pay attention to something.

We try to go once a week for story time and play.

We go every two weeks or so and read books but we don't check any out. We also play at the park outside. We haven't made it to any storytimes or activities because they don't work with my WOH schedule.

@Bao: I know, it's amazing! We are really lucky! It's a huge library in an area with loads of young families, so they have lots of great programs for children. It makes me (as a book lover) so happy when my older daughter begs to go to the library.

Weekly for story time.

We used to go every week for toddler class when i was home. But we never checked out any books because LO cannot be 100 percent trusted not to rip the pages. We may be ready to soon.

I've never taken my 1 year old but my mom takes him to story time on Mondays and my mother in law takes him to story time on Wednesdays. He spends part of the time trying to escape but I think it's good for him.
