DH and I have been talking about when we should start NTNP for baby #2. LO is almost 9 months old and it seems crazy to even think about another baby right now, but then again our original time frame was to try again around LO's 1st birthday, which is just around the corner.
So I'm curious, how old was your LO(s) when you started trying or NTNP for another baby?

We haven't yet, but we are going to start TTC when LO is 16 months old.

For #2 we started NTNP at around #1 first birthday but didn't get pregnant till #1 was 16 months. Now with #3 we started NTNP just after #2 first birthday and became pregnant when she was 15 months.

We had sex without protection (not NTNP, just in a moment of excitement) when LO was 15 months old. Officially TTC when she was 16 months and got pregnant when she was 17 months. They will be 26 months apart.

I didn't get my first period until after Liam's first birthday, but we were NTNP pretty much since Liam was 8 weeks old. We just decided to start actively TTC this cycle, and he is almost 14 months old.

DS was 2 years, 2 months before trying for another. DD will probably be 15-16 months when we try for #3.

We started NTNP a little before a year and got pregnant when he was 13 months old. If I deliver on time this time they will be about 22 months apart.

I think we'll start trying for our second once DD (not yet born) turns 2. That can all change, though. I'm more than happy to hold off for professional reasons, but I also fully anticipate another "oops". That's just how the cookie crumbles in this house, hah.

It will be 10m for us when we start. We're pulling out right now so it *could* happen earlier than that. I hope it doesn't. I think at 10m old is close enough.

We tried when LO was a few months past 2 years and got pregnant on the first try so they are going to br almost exactly 3 years apart

Our plan was at the one year mark, but I guess we weren't being careful enough because I was pregnant when LO was 11 months.

We were basically NTNP since E was born but we didn't expect it to happen as soon as it did (at about 4.5 months PP). We planned to start actively TTC just before his first birthday if it hadn't happened yet.

I don't really count the time between G & P, but that's 6 years. As for the time between P & our next.. we just started ttc & she's 13 months.

We were almost convinced we didn't want anymore. Well, we're still uncertain, but now that DD is almost 11 months old, she's a little more independent and doesn't demand every single minute of our time anymore and now I can actually see us doing it. We said that IF we try we'll wait until she's closer to 2. But since it took us so long the first time, we might try earlier? No real plans yet though.

We haven't used protection since A was born but I'm not cycling yet so think we're pretty safe. If I still don't have my period by her first birthday in November then I'll start acupuncture again.

We didn't start trying, but after I got my period back at 7 months pp we just went with the flow.
I got pregnant 3ish days after DD turned 1.

@winniebee: That's not far from when we are going to try! We keep pushing back our timeline... It would be really nice to have B out of diapers when we have LO #2 and more independent.

I think we'll start trying around the holidays? I'm just so scared of bedrest in NM with a toddler!

We're looking to start trying next month, so at 10 months old for us. We want LO #2 not to have a summer or late summer birthday, so sooner the better. I'm working my way through a mini pill pack right now. I think after it's done, then we'll start trying.

ODS was 6.5 yrs when we got pregnant with LO. We got pregnant on our first try. I want to start TTC when LO is at least 2 yrs this time.

I think we will start trying when DD turns 3. Babies are too fricking expensive for me to try any sooner.
