I'm at the dentist for a filling, and they just mentioned to me that I'm not to nurse for 24 hours, due to the anesthetic.

Now, my LO is 13 months, so I know he can physically go 24 hours with no breastmilk, but he's very attached to the boob, and I'm not sure how to proceed! He doesn't take bottles any more, and he's not reliable with his cups. He nurses for naps, for comfort, at bedtime, and several times during the night, fml!

Any tips? What's a good substitute or distraction for LO? He's never gone without nursing for this long, poor guy Should I pump (and dump) for supply?
