Hello bees,

My 8 month old has been really great with going to sleep for naps and bedtime. Then a few days ago, she learned how to pull herself up to stand and her falling asleep has been horrendous since then.

Usually at bedtime, I would just give her the bottle after her bath, she would drift off to sleep and I just placed her in the crib and she would just continue sleeping. Last night she kept standing up and crying. I would go in to lay her back down and pat her back but as soon as I left, she stood up again and this would repeat like 20 times until she finally stayed down.

Putting her down for naps is even worse. It is taking up to an hour to get her to go to sleep even though she's rubbing her eyes and yawning. She used to fall asleep easily in the stroller but now she just wants to sit up and look around....

Anyone have any advice for this phase? I've tried staying with her and holding her down so that she doesn't stand but then she just gets mad and starts crying. If I leave, she immediately stands up in the crib. Do I just keep laying her down over and over, or is there something else I should be doing?

TIA
