LO is two years old and can sing about half of the alphabet. The first four letters and then Q, R, S, T, U, V, although sometimes it comes out jumbled. She can identify only about 2-3 letters correctly on paper though.
How old was your LO when they learned the alphabet? Could they sing the song/identify the letters at the same time, or did one come before the other? Did you use anything to help them learn, or just sing the song with them?

They do two letters of the week at daycare but reinforce the whole alphabet through song. I occasionally let him play an app on the iPad, and we play letter games at home. I am actually impressed...he's 26 months and can sing the whole alphabet and recognize almost all his letter identification. Now I'm working with him more on letter sounds.

DD is 27 months now and can sing the whole song/recognizes all of the letters. She was in almost the exact same place as your LO a month or so ago. I definitely think she could sing the song before she recognized all the letters on paper. We didn't do anything special-- sang the song, read some ABC related books, etc. She did get a Melissa and Doug chunky alphabet puzzle for her birthday which also helped with letter recognition, I think. I'll bet your LO will be in the same boat pretty soon!

Endless alphabet, alphabet magnets (we played a game where i asked her to bring me a certain letter, and we'd go back and forth with different ones), a Hape alphabet puzzle (http://www.hapetoys.com/ca/en/p/happy-puzzle/alphabet-puzzle/1599), M&D word puzzle (http://www.toysrus.com/buy/save-25-on-a-variety-of-melissa-doug-toys/melissa-doug-deluxe-wooden-see-and-spell-2940-2308342). Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, and Dr. Seuss's ABC books were really great in helping identify letters too.
I know that it was a little after the 2 year mark she knew both her upper and lower case letters.

I found that LO learned the alphabet really quickly once we got her the alphabet puzzle. I don't know if that was a coincidence or if she really "got it" once she could see the letters or because we played with it everyday. She could sing most of the song first and started identifying the letters after that. She was around 22 months.
ETA: I think I misremembered the time so I changed that above! Plus I wanted to add that she seemed to get it earlier than her daycare buddies. Not a brag, just didn't want you to worry that your LO was behind.

Sadie's 21 months and thinks she's singing the alphabet song... "A, B, C, D, uhhhh uhhh uhhh... N, O, P... uhhh, uhhhh, Y, Z! Now ABC's!"

My 2 year old's in about the same place - she knows B, E and S and can kinda sing the song. For the longest time she would go around the house saying "know my a b, know my a b" 
I just picked up an alphabet puzzle today for her, so we'll play with that a little bit!

My 25 month old can sing it almost all the way through (always skips Q) but she can't identify any yet although we haven't really worked on it, so that should be next. We are working on colors right now.

@LuLu Mom: ditto. My almost 2.5 year old can sing it pretty well (skipping a letter here or there) and doesn't recognize letters by sight. We are working on colors, too. Everything is NOT blue, child!

Wow, everyone seems to have learned it so young! My son is 32 months and just started singing it the last month or so. He had no interest before and would actually tell you no abc's if you tried to get him to sing it with you! But he can pretty much sing it straight through now. Maybe he was just holding out on us?

@KT326: I used to work in an elementary school and every year, there were some kids in kindergarten that didn't know their full ABCs or colors. 
So in the grand scope of things, 32 months is really young!

She could recognize all letters by 24 months, but couldn't sing the ABCs until she she was 29 months old. We have a playmat that has the alphabet on it so each day, we would point to and identify different letters. She also loved Super Why

Dd has been singing the ABC song since she was 22 months. She recognizes most letters on paper too.

LO is 21 months and just learned to sing the song all the way through. Same time as Twinkle Twinkle and Baa Baa Black Sheep. She's been working on it for about two months (they must sing it a lot at daycare).
She knows letters from her Melissa & Doug puzzle but only as the word that matches the letter. For example she will tell you the 'W' piece is 'whale'. She doesn't get that 'W' is 'W'. When she finishes the puzzle she sings the alphabet but randomly points to letters.

Just about 23 months here and DS couldn't be less interested. If it isn't a truck or train, its a waste of his time!

He started singing the alphabet before 2 maybe 22 months but even now at 30 months can only identify a few letters.
