We used it more for the car seat.

The quilt became wall art. It was displayed on the wall and never used. I took it down 3 years later when we redid her room to be a big girl room and sold the whole set.

For #2, I did sheets and made my own crib skirt and called it done!

Based on my experience, I wouldn't waste the money on a set.

We only registered for crib sheets as well. Any blankets we got we used in the stroller. But now that DD is two, she will use the small crib blankies in her big girl bed!

We got a set for C because our friend worked for CoCaLo and we got a really good discount... the quilt is currently sitting in the top cabinet above her closet. With H, we only registered for sheets and a crib skirt.

We used C's bumpers as teething guards around the top of the crib when they started standing.

We just got sheets.

Now that she is older she does sleep with blankets in the crib, but we use either soft fleecy ones or thin muslin swaddled, depending on the temp. And half the time they don't stay on her anyway. Never had or needed a crib skirt or bumper.

I would not bother registering for a set.

The quilt became her tummy time mat...lol

@bluestriped bee: I should also add, dhs grandmother is a big quilter and we already have a couple of beautiful quilts from her and I knew she would make some for C. So I knew those would be more special than anything I found at PBK. Obviously not everyone will be getting beautiful handmade quilts though!

Never got a set, just got separate sheets.

Never used the bumper and ds uses the blanket now on his twin bed at 2.5!

We just got sheets in fun patterns.

We just registered for sheets. So many people gave us blankets though! We use them to keep warm when sitting in the rocker , for tummy time, in the car seat, etc.

You'll use them when the babies are older. Having said that, all that schmancy matching stuff goes out the window in the first couple days. You'll be pretty happy to have a sheet that isn't thrown up on!
