How many crib sheets do you have, use, are in rotation? I assume from another thread about protector pads, it seems like something that gets changed ALL.THE.TIME?
What do you think is a good # of crib sheets to have on hand?

I have like 4 but I think that 3 is more than enough. One to wash, one to use and one to spare.

We are fine with just two. We are doing her laundry so often that they are never both dirty at the same time.
But if you LO is going to daycare you'll need sheets to send there.

Honestly I thought we would need a TPN but we don't at all. I would day 2 is good.

I have four but only ever really used three. My main laundry issue has been spit-up as so far LO has always been swaddled / wrapped (she's 12 weeks old) so I haven't had any messes due to poop or pee.

I agree, we have 3 and don't have to switch them out NEARLY as much as we thought we would. But...knowing your LO's closet? I vote 57.

@Kemma: Honestly, C is 9 months old and I think has peed through onto the sheet 1 time. We've never had poop.

@babyjmama: LOL! Riight? haha!
I've registered for 3, but I don't think we'll get them all as gifts. I was thinking 2 would be enough, but then I went on Etsy, and oh geez, there's so much cute stuff, I was having a hard time choosing if I just want to order 1 for now.
@zippylef: SO glad to know I won't have to be changing sheets every day or night then!

@shopaholic: I looooove the pics you post on Instagram...*swoon. Makes me think twice about maybe wanting a girl someday
pineapple / 12526 posts
@shopaholic: I really only use 2 of ours. One on the bed and one in the wash. We use her one that matches her bedding more than anything else. And no, you wont really be changing sheets every night! lol. Definitely invest in a good mattress protector though, just in case.
I think this is the one we have:

@babyjmama: Thanks! It's too much fun shopping for a girl when I'm such a girly-girl! Too dangerous too!
@zippylef: Oh yes! We got 2 mattress protectors because the mattress was such an investment! Cost more than the crib so that thing better stay nice for #2 too!

@shopaholic: Haha, I just went and stalked your IG. Your girl's closet looks like C's! lol. Girl has way too many clothes.

@zippylef: What's your IG name again? I get so confused when they are different than HB names...
pineapple / 12526 posts
@shopaholic: I don't use IG. I found yours through the blog link in your profile after @babyjmama: said something. lol. I was curious.

@zippylef: oic! too bad, because I LOVE looking at everyone's cutie pie LOs on IG!

@shopaholic: Haha, nope, I post everything on facebook. We don't have smartphones (not worth it with our crap network in the UK), so I havent joined the IG craze.

I was totally lurking waiting to find out @zippyleaf IG name I love stalking too!

We have three. We only do laundry on the weekends and I'm glad we have a spare sheet in case one is dirty because LO had a cold and got his snot all over his sheet. So gross!

We have 4 - two patterned and two plain. I bought the extra plain sheet when DS was spitting up a lot. We don't go through them so fast now, but it's nice to know that we have them just in case.

We have 4. We registered for and received 2, but then were gifted 2 more that we kept.
persimmon / 1081 posts
We've been fine with two. There was once or twice we could have used a third bc the laundry didn't get done in time, but that's in a two year span.
coconut / 8299 posts
we have 2 and it works for us! we do laundry every day anyway so we're always washing one while using one. I might get another one soon though because girlfriend has been having some explosive diapers lately and if one of them is in the hamper, we're outta luck.

My mom went a little crazy and bought a bunch when I was pregnant (along with changing pad covers!). We have at least 6 fitted sheets. I think 4 would have been enough. I like having extras just in case.

We have two and that is more than enough. We only change them if she makes a mess, and that is pretty rare
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
If you get three, I would suggest 2 cotton and one flannel for the winter months! Its nice to change things up that way.
pomelo / 5791 posts
@Sweet T: I'm in the same boat as you. We have 7, which I'm sure is more than enough!
How often do you all change the sheets?
pomegranate / 3008 posts
3 for those nights when they are sick and you keep having to change sheets. Otherwise, 2 is plenty. But when you need that one extra, you need it, which is why I would say 3.
squash / 13764 posts
We have 3, and it's overkill...we could have done with 2. But then again, if LO has a bad night where he throws up all night or something, I'll probably be happy about the 3! So far, he doesn't spit up at all so the sheets haven 't gotten dirty.
honeydew / 7917 posts
We had 2 for over a year and only recently bought 2 more. 3 is probably the perfect number. My sister registered for 8, and I thought maybe I was doing something wrong with only 2. Glad to hear that it's the norm.
squash / 13199 posts
We have 5 but 2 of them are at daycare. SO we have 3 at home. I think its good to have atleast 3. we ususally only need 2 but sometimes there are little oops or accidents and then we use all 3 in one week
persimmon / 1453 posts
One because we're cheapskates. It's all we really "need," though two would be nice. You may need more if you don't do the laundry every/other day.
apricot / 355 posts
We have 2, LO is 13 + months. I have never needed a third. I do try to launder it the day it gets dirty though. DS is not a drooler, our biggest issue now is the diaper not holding in all the pee since he sleeps 11 or 12 hours. Even still, his winter sleep sack stays dry on the outside so I consider the sheets clean.
