Okay, so we sleep trained LO at 4 months to go to sleep by himself, and he did beautifully after only 20 minutes of crying (as opposed to 2 hours in my arms). He is 6 months now and still wakes up once a night to eat somewhere between 1 and 4. He has slept through the night twice. My question is, for those who sleep trained for the beginning of the night, did you also sleep train for the middle of the night, and if so when. Or did LO just start sleeping through on their own. Or did you just gradually wean. I was thinking 9 months but my friend says 6 months. We haven't had our 6 month appointment yet (he is happy and at a healthy weight though), but I imagine my doctor would say that MOTN wakeups are still common at this age and to hold off on CIO. I am just trying to get a sense of how common it is to go the CIO route for MOTN wakings. I really, really should have read a book on sleep during pregnancy.
