We had 5 girl names and 5 boy names. All with possible middle names. I like to have options!! Good thing, because DH vetoed my first choice in the delivery room.

We had 2 "top" names and several others. We ended up naming LO something not even on the list!

We took in two full girl names and four full boys names. Luckily she was a girl because we were less sure of our boy's options.

After we saw her, my husband said, "I think it's Elliot. That one feels right," and so we went with it! We were sure on the middle name for both genders though (family names).

We had talked about names but LO came very early. I wrote out a list of maybe 8 combinations that night after she was born. DH picked from the list the next morning.
