Every time I come into the house, the kids jump into my arms and give me a huge hug. Sometimes they exclaim that they love me, which is always nice.

The other day, both kids jumped into my arms at the same time and I saw someone nearby give me a weird look - like maybe my kids were too old for that (they're 5 and 7). I've felt a bit self-conscious about it since then... I had always figured that the kids would grow out of the hug phase so I hadn't thought much of it.

Then again, I saw that skit on SNL where the whole family kisses each other on the lips and that's too much for me. So I have my limits too.

Is it possible for kids to be too lovey dovey with parents? What's your personal limit?
