Thank you all for the positive thoughts and prayers! Baby's birthday is tomorrow and I get to be present for his birth. The hospital is giving me a wristband and we are able to stay in our own hospital room to be with him. Unfortunately, social services is likely to take him into protective custody at discharge. But, the state attorney is aware of our situation, our attorneys are on top of things and birth mom has already signed guardianship papers appointing us guardians. All things working in our favor. The hospital already has his name ready for the birth certificate and his last name is listed as my husband's. I'm not sure why this means so much to me. It may be because he will always know who he was meant to be. Again, thank you for all of the love and support.

He arrived this morning at 8:14a. A healthy 9 lbs and 6 ounces/ 20 inches. He is perfect and we are hopelessly smitten! Birth mom was brace and strong. I am so proud of her.
️ I know we have a fight ahead of us but I can not wait to get him safely home.
