DD's been into her wooden train set lately. I don't know much about trains, but I was hoping someone here could recommend a fast(er) battery operated train that's compatible with Ikea/Brio sets. We have one from the set we got her last Christmas, but it's sooo slow. There has to be one a little faster.
What's your LO's fave battery operated train? Thanks!

Thomas and friends wooden railway has motorized engines that are compatible.
The take and play/ track master ones are faster, but not compatible with wooden tracks.

We use the motorized Thomas trains. They have trouble going uphill, but a dried strip of silicone glue smeared in the track grooves fixes that issue.

My ILs gifted my DS this one and it works with our wooden tracks and is pretty fast. I looked for a brand name but didn't see it, but maybe you can find a pic of it on amazon? I think there is another car that goes with the engines, but I couldn't find it.
