Go with your gut, no sugar-coating.
ETA I had a beta on 12dpo and my OB said it was positive but REALLY low, wait and see.

That 14 dpo looks pretty solid to me. I would try to stop testing for a couple days. I bet the lighter 13 was just less concentrated- like maybe you drank more water before bed or something. I don’t want to say D because it’s rude, but, D
Good luck!

Looks okay to me - the lighter 13 might be because of a number of reasons, including just the test was less sensitive than others - maybe it was older or something.
Good luck!

I know we already talked about this and I gave you my opinion, but the 14dpo looks significantly darker. That’s this AM?
Gosh I was pretty sure last night but this is looking kind of good to me. Not sugar coating, just seeing that darker line is throwing me for a loop. Mine in May def didn’t get any darker by 14dpo. Mine at 14dpo was basically a blank test and then I started bleeding.
I’d ask for another beta. They do say that the number doesn’t matter, the doubling does. So I’d want to know. Is it possible you were a little off on your dpo estimate? Even 1-2 days can matter that early on.
Good luck! Keep me posted.

I do not get early positives so this looks legit to me. With my most recent pregnancy, I got negatives on 12dpo and 13dpo (and was sure of my ovulation date via temping and OPKs) and a faint line on 14dpo. She’s now 5.5 months old and I’m nursing her bottle refusing self right now. Hoping you have a similar outcome!
ETA: found a pic of my 14dpo tests, will wall you!

It looks legit to me. I had a chemical and my line was like your 12dpo 2 pm but it was FMU and then the next day it was completely gone, no line.. and no line the next day either. So I think the fact that yours is there and getting darker is a good sign.

I’ve had a lot of early losses and i voted too early to tell. 14dpo looks better but I’ve had a test like that get lighter again. I would do another beta and/or see what your test looks like on 16dpo if a beta isn’t possible. My experience over many bfps (failed and not) is that it’s reasonable to expect a darker line if you wait 48 hours in between. Of course there are exceptions. I hope it works out!!

Congrats!!!!! It's getting darker over the 48 hour interval between 12 and 14, which is a good sign!
I didn't find that my tests looked different at this point between a chemical where I started bleeding around 5 weeks, a later first tri loss, and my current pregnancy (35 weeks now). I've always gotten a faint positive at 11 dpo - this time it did not get darker at all at 12 dpo and I thought for sure it was another chemical (because even with my chemical it got darker) but it darkened after that. I know the wait is the shittiest thing ever, but re-testing in another 48 hours should give you more insight.

Thank you, ladies. I'm going to test again in 2-3 days and see what's up. @jape14: my history is that the two pregnancies I had that lifted off the ground were both pretty solid lines by 11dpo, so this feels wrong for me--doesn't it seem like people put themselves into a category of what their own "normal" is and then don't allow for much mental wiggle room? but good to know that this is normal to you!
@SweetiePie: yep, the one on the bottom is from this morning--I was so sure I had a chemical happening last night too but that line is just dark enough to throw me for a loop. Almost texted you but I thought you'd see it here anyway. And I don't think I'm off on my dates, my chart is really clear that this would be 14dpo blehh.

It looks more similar to my miscarriages than my regular pregnancies so that would be my gut instinct. That said, it may just be too early to tell yet!
nectarine / 2461 posts
@travellingbee: exactly--I actually looked at an old post of yours last night I'm not attached to the idea of this "working", I just hate the anxiety of not knowing. And don't want to get my hopes up (they're not).

If you take out the 12 DPO at 2pm one, you're getting darker and darker with each morning test. I know some ladies say they get darker tests in the afternoon than with FMU. With that in mind I'd say it looks great. And FWIW with one LO I had a negative at 13dpo and faint line at 14dpo and with the other I had a positive at 8dpo. So I don't put too much into when lines showed up with previous pregnancies.

@LCTBQE: I know. It was very disappointing once I gotten my hopes up. I guess you can just try to be cautiously optimistic.

I voted too early to tell. I have my fingers crossed for you, friend. I'm here no matter what. My chemical was quite dark at 12 dpo and then I never tested again until I started spotting, so I don't have any advice.

I think you are fine but I understand your reservations. Remember that DPO may not account for implantation which could be slightly off a day or two. My early lines were also better with PM tests instead of FMU.
grapefruit / 4988 posts
Without the 14 dpo one, my gut would have said chemical (my chemical was like 3 straight days of your first 12 dpo one and then AF showed up). But the 14 dpo one is definitely darker! Crossing my fingers that it works out for you!
nectarine / 2461 posts
@JennyPenny: @T.H.O.U.: yeah, I just dislike how light it still is at 14dpo, but my chart does show a pretty clear implantation dip at 10dpo. So I guess it's possible this is okay--thanks for your thoughts! I hear you about pm vs fmu. My 2pm test is def darker than the one from the following morning. I just hate holding it at work

They're definitely getting darker. Still very faint, but it could just be super late implantation. So... try not to stress!!! I'm sure you'll have a better idea what's up soon. The waiting game is the worst.

Your 14dpo looks really dark to me! When I had a cp my lines never got that dark. And wth lo2, I didn’t get a bfp until well after I thought I should, I must have implanted late (and then she was born at 41 weeks according to lmp).
After my cp I stopped using using frers and just stuck to digitals, I couldn’t stand having to interpret lines, I just neede a yes/no. Maybe take a step back from the tests: today you are pregnant!

Today's being stronger than yesterday looks promising. I am SO hopeful for you!!

@LCTBQE: I don't think it's a chemical. Fwiw, my chemical was one suuuuper faint positive followed by 2ish days of what looked like your 2pm 12 DPO test and then a stark negative.
pomelo / 5220 posts
I think they look fine - I see a progression of darkness except for the one test. But I don't trust the tests to not be weird. I had really faint lines with my 2nd LO on the FRERs. Fingers crossed.

looks good to me! I would expect it to get darker as days pass and DPO 14 looks legit.

@LCTBQE: The 14DPO looks darker so I'm hoping this is the start of a great pregnancy for you! I'm so happy to see another May 2016 mama TTC again!

I have no helpful insights, just wanted to say I'm hoping for the best for you

@LCTBQE: No advice, but so excited for you and am hoping for the best! The last line and general progression looks good to me.

@Mama Bird: @nana87: @ChiCalGoBee: @pwnstar: @psw27: @birdofafeather: @agold: @MrsSCB: @pregnantbee: @SugarplumsMom: @Ajsmommy: Thanks for the support, everyone I'm actually getting to a semi-zen (for me, haha) place and not feeling very anxious anymore. obviously I prefer a good one, but I'm okay with it being a rotten one if it is--I don't at all have that hell-bent "this HAS to work" feeling like I did each time before. Didn't test today but I probably will tomorrow.
It is so grounding to hear your stories about all the ways early pregnancy can look and shake out, thank you for sharing them

@LCTBQE: I'm not much of a chemical pregnancy expert but sending all of my good vibes your way, lady! One day at a time!

I was thinking yes until I scrolled down and saw the 14dpo test! It’s pretty dark!!! Good luck!

Both of my viable pregnancies have looked like that. The pregnancy I lost had much better lines.

Update: it's a chemical
Started bleeding this evening, this one is definitely a dud, but at least it resolved quickly. Thanks so much for the support, ladies.

@Shantuck: @CatchAFallingStar: I'm okay, this one isn't so bad. Thank you
