So my DD has been sucking in her lips and "mmm"ing and trying to blow bubbles with her lip sucked in. She also laughs and smiles with her lips in! Lol. She looks pretty darn cute doing it, but I'm wondering if this is her teething and I should be giving her something to make her more comfortable.

My LO does this and she is only 3mo and def not teething. she's also a drool monster lol. I think some babies just do that stuff.

My LO just started smtg very similar! It's like he's trying to blow raspberries sucking his lower lip in and blowing bubbles/making the raspberry noise. I also suspected if this is related to teething bc he started doing it while crying hard as well all of a sudden. I just wrote a post about it yesterday actually!
It's so weird. He's 5 months and also sucks on everything he gets his hands on. That said, he's totally normal/happy otherwise so I'm not sure if it teething or just him finding a new weird way to make noise.
Totally sounds like are LOs are up to similar things right now.

She's so cute! I am clueless about teething though because I keep thinking I'm seeing white bumps on DS's gums and then nothing happens. So I'm obviously teething paranoid! You could try giving her some of those freezer toys to chew on. If she is starting to teeth, it might ease the pain without having to give her Tylenol. No harm trying?

Adorable! She is most likely just discovering her lips and mouth. I blamed SO many things on "teething" for soooo long and Liam didn't get his first tooth until he was 10 months old. So you just never know until the first one pops up!

My husband and I have determined that everyone blames all behavior on teething. Our son has been obsessively munching on his hands ever since he discovered them, and he has always been a drooler. This has been going on for months, and his first two teeth started to appear on his gum three days ago at 5.5 mos.
The only change that preceded the teeth poking through was that he was super clingy and demanded to be picked up a lot more than usual for several days. We couldn't figure out why til we saw the teeth.

He's adorable. She's done it before... like maybe 1-2 months ago? But stopped. And now started again!
@ElbieKay: She's been sort of clingy. But I blame it on winding down for nap time and her being 6.5 months. She doesn't want me to go too far after about an hour to an hour 15 min of awake time.
@mrs. tictactoe: I feel like that's what I'm doing! "Hey, she's taking short naps... must be teething." "Hey she's wanting me to hold her more... must be teething." Hey, she chucked a toy...must be teething!" Haha. You're right, we won't know until the first one pops through! I try to check her gums, but she sucks her lips in and clamps shut, haha. Little stinker.

hahah she is SO cute. my LO used to do that all the time, teething or not. she would suck half her face in!! which was a feat, cause she had pretty giant cheeks.
