Not sure if many are following this story but a prominent radio/tv host on CBC (a Canadian network) has been fired.

He posted a very long statement on Facebook that I can't seem to link to here, saying he was dismissed due to consensual sexual acts with a jilted ex-girlfriend who has been collaborating with a journalist. He is suing CBC for $50 million. What's your opinion on this, if you're following? I'm not sure where I stand and would love to be a bit more educated about it before I decide how I feel.

Upon first reading about it, I kind of trusted what he was saying... but after reading lots of other articles/posts/opinions... I'm not sure. I know he has hired a PR firm so they could've very well had a hand in his statement. Three people on my facebook have said they know victims (plural) of his, one being a good high school friend that I cannot imagine making such a thing up. Maybe I don't want to believe there are women out there that would put themselves through all of this just to ruin someone's career... and I feel defensive of the victim blaming that seems to be going on, especially on Jian's facebook page.

I'd love to hear opinions from other people who have read up on this and might have better insight than I do!
