I am in the process of sorting out DS's old clothes. I don't have much left from his baby days, but there are a 3-4 hand knit items from his grandmother that I have held on to that I think are totally adorable.

Baby2 is a girl, so I'm not so sure that I will dress her in these very blue baby clothes. I am also assuming, rather presumptuously, that grandma will knit new things for baby girl. I have a friend who is expecting a boy just a few weeks before DD arrives, and I would love to be able to pass on these items to her, assuming she wants them. We don't have a lot of storage space, and I'm not into the idea of hanging onto these items for my future grandchildren. However, I really appreciate the time and effort grandma put into making them and, like I said, I think they are totally adorable.

What would you do?
