My 25-month-old goes to daycare full time at a wonderful place that is super clean, and I have a newborn 6-week-old at home--I've been keeping my toddler in daycare while I'm on mat leave. Yesterday at pickup they told me that one kid had Coxsackie that she'd gotten from an older sibling, but she was kept home. Today at pickup FIVE kids were out with it--almost half the class. They're going nuclear and bleaching everything over there, but I'm so worried that my son will get it and give it to the newborn. So far he hasn't exhibited any symptoms or fever... I could deal with it sucking a lot if he had it, but for the baby it sounds actually dangerous.

Has anyone been through something like this? Wondering if I should preemptively keep the 2-year-old home tomorrow or just douse him in hand sanitizer when I pick him up. Thoughts?
