Woo hoo! I looooove sewing! I needed to buy a new dog bed, but when I looked at the prices....holy cow! No way! So I went over to Joann Fabric, bought some awesome duck canvas fabric, and started sewing!
Of course he plopped his butt down right away on it too. Puppy approved!

I'm not so great at seeing. I need to hem a pair of yoga pants that I bought too long bc they were on clearance... Three years ago. I just wear then dragging on the floor. Finally got y sewing kit out tonight and decided to safety pun then for now!

@Foodnerd81: lol send them over! I just hemmed 2 shirts for my sister on Friday, and I had to take on in on the sides because it was a little too big on her.

@MrsBrewer: Great job! Every time I see the prices on dog beds, I always think I should make my own. I've done it once but it was a no-sew project and it was okay.
My dog's current dog bed is from Target clearance. It's completely washable and has a waterproof liner so I hope it lasts a while.
ETA: Oh, I'm glad your dog likes it! I've purchased dog beds and bring it home to find out my dog won't use it. Eventually she does but she's so annoying.

@Kimberlybee: funny you say that! This was my "trial run" dog bed! I have my etsy shop all set up already actually! I just need to make a couple more beds so I can list them for sale!!

@scg00387: cut up thirst are a great idea! I just used fiber fill for this one, although I'm thinking its going to go flat in a couple days I bet! I stuffed that thing soooo much! There's probably a good 5 lbs of stuffing there!

Thanks everyone!!! I'm now starting to brainstorm how I want to make them to sell! I'm debating on whether I want to just sell covers with a zipper, or sell the entire bed stuffed! Not sure yet! Maybe offer both!
