I will go back to work when my daughter is 8 weeks old & she will be in a daycare center. I have the option of nursing her throughout the day instead of sending breastmilk in bottles. I love the idea of seeing her multiple times a day, not having to pump, and not having to prep/wash bottles & parents!
However, I don't know if this is actually a good idea. Has anyone ever nursed their daycare baby during the workday? How did it go? I'm nervous that A) she'll be cluster feeding & it'll be too unpredictable of a schedule, creating stress B) it'll be too hard to leave once she's done eating, especially as she gets older. I'm wondering if I should just pump instead.

@JoyfulKiwi: Yes!! I only came during my lunch break, which was flexible. I always called an hour or two before I thought she would need to eat and they would tell me when should would need it next. I absolutely LOVED being able to see her in the middle of the day. It helped my supply and I got some extra bonding time.

Exciting she will be so close. I would say going once a day would be enough eventually.
My guy wasn't taking bottles and he eventually figured out I was coming at lunch and refused the bottles even more.

I went at lunchtime to nurse my DD until she was about 10 months old and got separation anxiety (she was perfectly happy until I got there but would melt down when I had to leave, so we decided it was better not to cause her unnecessary stress). My lunch is flexible so one of the teachers would call me when she was getting hungry and I'd head over. DD got bottles for her other feelings though, since I couldn't spare enough time from work to go 2-3 more times on top of the lunch feeding.

My best friend went to her daughter's daycare at lunch and she loved it. I think she did it until her daughter weaned at a year.
I am actually hoping to start this soon and I'm pretty excited about it. My son moves to my work daycare in March and then I'm hoping to go at lunch. I won't be able to make it every day, but I'd like to do it at least a couple times a week, maybe as much as 4 days per week.
I would worry that going for every feeding might be a bit much, but you could give it a try. If not, consider just going at lunch.

I did lunch times with my son and it was great. I feed my daughter every three hours right now and it is amazing!!!! I am a teacher so I go between classes.

I think every feeding would be hard but I think once per day at lunchtime would be perfect
