Ok, kinda similar to yesterday still. Line didn't show up within the 3-5 minute window. But, at 15 minutes there was the faintest line ever. Grrrr. They came from the same box, so I'm wondering if it is a bad lot of tests. I'll test again tomorrow morning, with a different box of tests, and hopefully have more answers.

@Dr. Pepper: Hmm, I unfortunately had a box of bad FRERs awhile ago and I kept getting very very faint lines within the time frame but they never got darker. Hopefully that's not the case. I'd try a different brand.

@Dr. Pepper: Do you have a different brand or any ICs? Using a different batch/lot will probably help too!

@Alba4: congrats! i am at 10 DPO too with a similar line after a loss in August.

@Dr. Pepper: how frustrating! i about lost it this morning because i took a test and it looked like the line had disappeared, but i peed in the middle of the night. so i decided to hold it for 3 hours, and the line was darker than yesterday now. maybe try a new box of tests and SMU?

So I had my yearly exam and it didn't go as I had hoped, not that I really had any expectations. But the dr basically just told me I should reach out to a fertility specialist and that was that. ?? I mean I told her about my cycles and our ages and a brief synopsis of the past few cycles and that was it... I don't know how I feel about that. Worried b/c maybe we really won't have another LO, worried b/c maybe we really do have infertility... but hopeful b/c I'd like to proceed asap due to my age.

The dr also found a lump in my left breast and referred me to a mammogram and a breast surgeon, not gonna lie, I'm terrified!

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@Ajsmommy: How long have you been trying? Has your OB already doing CD3 and CD21 testing? I'm so sorry about the lump, hopefully its nothing!

@Mrs. Peanut: congrats! Nice line! Looks like you did O earlier than you thought. So happy for you!

    @Alba4: Congratulations!

@Ajsmommy: Oh no, hoping for the best for you. I know that must be so scary. Hope you can get in for the mammogram asap and get that figured out. My mom had a lump before that thankfully was benign. Praying for you!
That's disappointing that your dr wasn't able to provide much info on your fertility questions. Maybe regular OBs just refer these issues to a specialist? When I mentioned irregular cycles to mine, she didn't seem very concerned and told me if I'm still not pregnant after a year we can discuss it then.

  14. Ajsmommy

    pomegranate / 3355 posts

@BandDmommy: no, I don't even know what cd3 or cd21 testing is?? maybe I should have asked?

@tiramisu: thanks.. I am hoping it's nothing or benign or whatever!! not something I want to deal with if its not

  15. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@Ajsmommy: It's to confirm you are ovulating. If not, OBs can prescribe clomid. The clomid can also give your ovulation a kick.

  16. Ajsmommy

    pomegranate / 3355 posts

@BandDmommy: I wonder why she wouldn't have suggested that??

  17. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@Ajsmommy: no idea. It's pretty basic script

  18. Ajsmommy

    pomegranate / 3355 posts

@BandDmommy: that makes me upset! why would she have us go to another place, pawning us off when she could have done something <insert angry face>

unless it's bc I have gotten positive opk's??? would that make her think that I am ovulating so I don't need that?

@BanDmommy no worries, I'm not really "upset".. I guess just annoyed b/c I went to her with questions and wanting help and I kinda feel like she didnt' do anything for me.

  19. BandDmommy

    @Ajsmommy: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you.

@Ajsmommy: Don't feel bad!! OBs shouldn't be doing that testing and prescribing clomid anyway - a Reproductive Endocrinologist should. Don't for a second get stressed out, she probably just carelessly threw it out there as part of an "annual exam checklist" or something. If you have concerns, call her back and talk to her about it - don't let this spiral into something bigger than it is.

  21. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@JoJoGirl: I don't see anything wrong with OB prescribing the CD 3 and CD21 test. I know many people who found out they weren't ovulating through their OB and got pregnant without going through a RE. I think it's a personal choice.

  22. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@Ajsmommy: if you are worried about time and you are 35 or older and have been trying for 6 months definitely reach out to RE sooner rather than later. They will require cd3 and cd21 test as well as a ton of other bloodwork. The whole process can take up to 2 months before you can actually start "treatment."

@Dr. Pepper: I would try a different test! I wrote about how I got a faint positive with a Wondfo and then nothing with a FRER. Stark white FRER in the morning and then a positive "pregnant" on a clear blue digital that night. I'm sorry you're going through this, I know how hard it is to not know for sure! Keep us updated!

Day 3 in a row of this but this time it showed up at 5 minutes. Different lot number of FRER. I've never had trouble like this. It's usually light like this for one day then gets darker FAST. After 3 losses I can't help but feel something's wrong. But I gave in and used a ClearBlue digital test because if I am pregnant I want to get into the doctor today for progesterone and hCG levels. It says pregnant. WTF. I'm scared because why are the FRER acting like this. I've had no real symptoms. My bra felt annoying tight yesterday, but my boobs aren't sore. I did have some lower back pain yesterday, but I did fall down the steps the day before. As I'm typing this I've having a little cramping, but I think that's because I'm scared.

@Dr. Pepper: are these the new frers with the bent stick? If so, I think they are always super light. I do think it's a good sign that you are getting a positive on a digital. Fx for you!

This is the 4th day of flashing smiley face. I'm getting a bit annoyed at it. Maybe I missed the surge or I'm just not ovulating this month?

  38. starlitsky

    clementine / 795 posts

@Dr. Pepper: I would say go ahead and get to the dr for the blood tests!! It's reassuring that the CB digital says pregnant so try not to worry!

  39. Purpledaisy

    nectarine / 2973 posts

@Dr. Pepper: I'd trust the digital! Like I posted, I got nothing with FRER and a positive on a digi. I took my last FRER 3 days after I got a positive on a clear blue digital and finally got a line. I always heard that digis are really reliable. Congrats!!

@Dr. Pepper - I thought that it was nearly impossible to have a false positive! I think it is a positive test! Congrats!
