@Hazel27: Thanks for the commiseration. So annoying. I mean how am I supposed to hit my o date when you don't give it to me until it's past?? LOL

I did the math and there is still a slight chance... I mean the slightest of slight. We dtd on cd16. I had spotting on cd20,21 and 22. I'm not sure how ovulation spotting works though. But I'd think maybe I o'd on cd20 or cd21, then there is a small chance some little swimmers were still alive. (oh my the crazy things you'll tell yourself while ttc)

@Nutella: Sorry to hear about AF. I hope next month is your month! I was hoping a 2nd pregnancy would happen quickly for me too, but it's just not. In the meantime, here's to wine, sushi and soft cheeses!

@Ajsmommy: swimmers can survive up to 5 days! keep your chin up!

@Ajsmommy: I think there's still a chance! I read somewhere that sperm can live 5 days. Do you take opk tests too? Wonky cycles are super frustrating. Mine is different every month. Ugh.

Ugh sounds crazy but I think I am out. I tested this am and BFN. I tested at 9dpo with both of my previous pregnancies and they were both clear positives - there was NOTHING there, not even a squinter. So upset. I'm just so bitter still about my m/c, it makes these passing months a million times worse.

@JoJoGirl: so sorry! still cheering you on though!

I got super mad at myself this morning when I completely forgot to use my OPK. The instructions say to use FMU and I've been only testing with FMU. I was looking forward to testing this morning because I've been seeing some EWCM. Ugh! Rant over.

@jojogirl nooooooo still holding a little hope for you though--don't people say it's different with every pregnancy etc blah blah? will you test again in a couple of days?

@marley not to encourage total insanity, but you could get some drug store cheapos this afternoon--those work best in the late afternoon, or so I've heard.

    kiwi / 706 posts

@LCTBQE: I totally brought my Clear Blue OPK to work. lol. I just have to decide if I want to hang out in the office bathroom for 5 minutes or figure out a way to walk back to my office from the bathroom holding an OPK!

  9. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@LCTBQE: I'm sure I will, even though I don't think I can deal with anymore false hope

@Ajsmommy so frustrating! sounds like a real magical mystery tour I haven't heard of Ovia, but I use OvaGraph and FF, and I've also noticed that they don't always align with their predictions. hope you get some answers from your doctor

@nutella it's cool and beautiful here right now, but as they say in Game Of Thrones, winter is coming. and to avoid it everyone in Brooklyn seems to be dying to go to Australia and NZ this Dec-Jan. I know 2 or three couples going to your part of the world!

@marley: Haha I've totally done that before. The night before I'm all excited to use my opk and then I wake up in the morning, use the bathroom and completely forget about the opk till after.

@marley every on-week since we've started TTC I've been carrying mine in a leather pouch that's big enough to fit one of the plastic dixie cups from the office kitchen there are so many chicks with their periods "discreetly" transporting tampons that no one gives me a second glance. kind of lame, but I've been glad just to know what the hell's going on. and it did work!

    @jojogirl I hear you

  14. Ajsmommy

    pomegranate / 3355 posts

@tiramisu: I do use opk's and my darkest one was cd13 in the am. I ran out and didn't take another until cd14 late. so there was about a 36 hr gap. Then when I took another one it was lighter so I "assumed" I would have gotten my positive on cd13 in the afternoon/evening.

@JoJoGirl: hugs, feeling your pain girl! I also tested early at 10dpo and whitest white test, and I just didn't think it was happening! I had tested early last time & got clear positives so I couldn't help but feel gutted! And now AF is here and it's seriously shitty! But I'm just trying to be positive! I'll be here in a few weeks for next month & by golly gosh it had better be a different story!

@JoJoGirl: I'm so sorry. I'm right there with you on the bitterness after a miscarriage. My good friend at work is having her baby 10/29 and I was supposed to be 20 weeks and finding out baby's gender by then. My other good work friend also just told me she is 8 weeks pregnant too. We all had baby's at the same time 2 years ago. It's so hard because I wanted that last baby so much. We had 2 miscarriages before my son and they were hard, but not this hard. I think knowing how great it is to have my son makes me it even harder.

I tested this morning 9DPO and it was negative. I'm going to try to hold off tomorrow and test Wednesday because I have a gut feeling I'm not pregnant. For all 4 pregnancies to date I have tested positive on 9 or 10 DPO. No symptoms at all either.

@Dr. Pepper: I'm sorry it's my first cycle post MC and having it unsuccessful made me really angry! I was a bit of a teary mess on the weekend. And to top it off, my pre-conception acupuncture clinic just emailed me a voucher for a 3rd trimester treatment voucher! I specifically called them to tell them we had a miscarriage so I'm really f'd off they didn't update their records! It didn't look like entirely automated so i think that's even more stupid.

I really feel you on the pain of friends announcing now too - I have the same thing and it's so hard.

If anyone has good tips on how to stay positive in all ears!

  19. JoJoGirl

    cantaloupe / 6206 posts

@Dr. Pepper: @Nutella: Oh dear - I'm so sorry to you both. And thanks for the good wishes. I have a friend who got pregnant with her second the same time as I did, and I've been horrible dealing since the m/c I just keep lashing out. It's not her fault! AF is probably coming today or tomorrow. I'm just having so much of a harder time dealing with this than when we TTC the first time around.

@JoJoGirl: at least you know your O'ing and the systems are still working! Though I totally feel your pain, I feel like the months are racing past & im still in TTC limbo land. I'm also irrationally scared it's going to take months after this

    @marley: Yay! Good luck!

@Dr. Pepper: Hugs! Fingers crossed for you! Hopefully it's late implantation and you'll get a bfp soon!

I'm so confused with my opk and cbefm. On the Cbefm, I had 2 high days on Sat. and Sun. On Monday it said Peak. I tried using Internet cheapie opks to check. They were both negative on Sunday and Monday. I don't know what is going on and it's already CD 24.

I think I'm out this month, I don't have full blown AF, but I started spotting a bit today. Sigh... on to next month... again. Ugh.
This weekend 2 of my friends and a cousin announced that they were pregnant... awesome haha. I'm starting to feel a little bitter, but I know our time is coming!

    Goodluck to everyone still testing!!!

    nectarine / 2461 posts

@jojogirl @Nutella I'm sorry this month is a bust, but you're tried and true it's going to happen, soon! Agreed that everyone else on earth is pregnant right now. I just got home from getting my friend's dog because she went into early labor, this right after throwing her baby shower 2 weeks post d&c (not recommended). It's nice to hear from other people who understand that we can be happy for them even though it compounds our troubles, but yes deep down we're happy for them. Woof.

    @marley that's great!!!

@tiramisu joining you in total what-is-going-on confusion. I don't have a cbefm so not sure whether that trumps wondfos, but my OPKs are also throwing me for a loop.

If anyone wants to weigh in I would so appreciate it-- Typical cycles (pre-m/c) are always 26-28 days and I usually O at CD 13-15 with a big buildup of color on my OPKs--pretty standard. I'm now at CD17, got a little EWCM last night and today, absolutely no CM of any kind before that this cycle, and my OPK's are hopelessly, totally blank. Temps are pre-ovulation and steady. If it wasn't for the OPK's, I'd just assume that my O is a few days late and that I'm fertile from the egg white, but the wondfos are making me think I'm stuck in anovulatory limbo. WTF?

@winterbee ooof, sorry guess I'm not making much of a case for OPK's, but I'm still excited for you to try them this month and maybe get a leg up. xx

  26. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@LCTBQE: I read that the clear blue advanced and the monitor are more sensitive than the strips. I've also read that some women o without OPKs ever testing positive. If you got EWCM I would just start BDing until BFN or AF. I'm not an expert though.

  27. tiramisu

    apricot / 409 posts

@WinterBee: Oh no, sorry about AF. Hope the opks next month can help. My OB recommended I use them after I told her I had long cycles.

@LCTBQE: hehe welcome to the wtf is going on with my cycle club. Somehow it's like your body knows when you're trying to track it and just goes wonky. I have the wondfos too! Hmm maybe you haven't ovulated yet if it's still negative? O could just be really late maybe. Do you usually have more ewcm? I just started using wondfos so I haven't figured out how well it corresponds to CM and I don't temp. Sorry I'm not much help, but I can commiserate with you!

    persimmon / 1045 posts

@LCTBQE: I can't really speak to the OPK strips as have never used them, but EWCM is definitely a good sign (which can go on for a number of days) so you should hopefully be able to get busy on those days to be safe...does that help at all?! Sorry you're in unknown wtf land!!

PS:you are a true champ doing that for your friend so soon after d&c!

Lost in the land of WTF over here too.... on cd30, no aunt flow yet.... But I refuse to test bc fertility friend shows that I'm supposed to have a 33 day cycle (mind you I haven't had one that long ever). But since it says cd1 is sunday that's when i'll test or maybe wait til Monday if there is no af.

I have my yearly tomorrow... oh joy! but maybe i'll get some direction/help

@WinterBee: Just mark me as out I stopped testing. Temp dropped.

  33. Dr. Pepper

    apricot / 461 posts

Ok everyone! I'm not sure what to think. I took a test this morning (a FRER), waited my 3 minutes, nothing. I was in a hurry. I put it in the drawer. I got my son ready and then myself ready for the day. 45 minutes later I looked at the test again as I was leaving the house. What do you think?

  34. Dr. Pepper

    apricot / 461 posts

@LCTBQE: I ususally have a slow buildup of color on my OPKs also then a true positive for 1-2 days then almost nothing. My first cycle post miscarriage (this month) my OPKs were blank- BLANK- until O day it was screaming positive. It was very strange for me. I did O on day 12 which is normal for me. Usually a 27 day cycle.

@BandDmommy: @JoJoGirl: but I didn't see this until 45 minutes after I took the test. Can I still believe it? Blah! I want to call my doctor and have a hCG and progesterone today so I can have another hCG on Friday and start my progesterone if needed, but I don't want to be the crazy person who isn't actually pregnant! Ok, I will try to remain calm.

@Dr. Pepper: I see a line! How many dpo are you? Mine looked like yours on 10 dpo (I thought it was a bfn after 3 min too) and then the next few days when I tested the line got darker and came up faster. FX for you!!

  39. BandDmommy

    pomelo / 5660 posts

@Dr. Pepper: I'd test tonight with a hold if you want. I actually get stronger positives at night.

@Dr. Pepper: Hmm, I'd probably hold off on calling the doctor until you make sure the line comes up in the time limit.
